Bedford girls jump to second straight D1 track title

HAMPTON - For the second year in a row, the Bedford High School girls track team needed a solid performance from its 4x400-meter relay team to win the Division I championship.

The Bulldogs got it Sunday, winning the event, but it was their finish in the high jump that put them in that position. Anika and Lettie Hibbard took first and second, respectively, and teammates Emma Bzik and Michelle Morrison finished fourth and fifth to give Bedford 24 points in the event.
