MANCHESTER - Chris O'Hara scored three goals and had an assist to lead the Bedford High School boys hockey team to an 8-0 win Saturday over Lebanon at Sullivan Arena at Saint Anselm College.

Kurt Mitchell (two assists) and Neil Soucy each added two goals, while Chris Viola also scored. Michael Dee, Tyler Murry, John Vanderminden and Ben Desrosiers each had an assist.

Stevan Tempesta and Alec Lindberg shared time in goal and combined to make six saves for the third shutout of the season for Bedford (5-1 in Division II).

Viola started the scoring with 8:51 left in the first period, as Bedford had to kill off two early penalties. The Bulldogs had a man in the box just 46 seconds into the game, and Bedford took another penalty 47 seconds after the first one ended. Viola's goal came 36 seconds after the Bulldogs killed off the second penalty.

Mitchell and O'Hara also scored in the first period, and the pair both scored to open the second. Soucy scored his first goal with 1:27 left in the second, and O'Hara finished the hat trick just 11 seconds later to make it 7-0\. Soucy added his second goal with under a minute to play in the game.

Lebanon's Ryan Dube and Chad Fazio combined to make 39 saves for the Raiders (1-5).

The Bulldogs hosted a Meet & Greet before the game, welcoming fans to meet the players and get autographs during the junior varsity game.

Bedford returns to the ice on Wednesday at Oyster River. Lebanon will host Pembroke-Campbell, also on Wednesday.
