# Around the Granite State: Wednesday's Roundup

The Hopkinton High School girls lacrosse team opened its season with an 18-11 win over St. Thomas in Division III action on Wednesday.

Lyndon Flanagan led the Hawks with nine goals and two assists while Ellie Morrall and Amelia Bassett each had three goals and two assists. Sophia Staples-Roy added a pair of goals and Emily Metzger had a goal while Ellie Owen Sofia Locke played well in the midfield.

Elizabeth Berliner made 10 saves while Amelia Thomas and Annie Higginbothem played well defensively.

St. Thomas got four goals from Haley Vienneau while Sarah Leahy had three goals and Olivia Kimball made 15 saves.

**Kearsarge 10, Brattleboro (Vt.) 9**

The Cougars opened the season with an out-of-state victory, getting four goals from Ally Wilson and two from Emilie Webster.

**Nashua South 15, Keene-Monadnock 3**

The Panthers got eight goals and an assist from Kirsten McIntire to pick up their first win over the season over the Blackbirds.

Sarah Signorello added four goals and three assists and Olivia Johnson had three goals and an assist while Liz Harrington also had a helper. Emily Colburn did well on draw-controls and Emma Pucillo had five groundballs and five draw controls.

Abbey Rowe and Rileigh Bunton split time in goal, making three saves each, while Bailey Morin, Izzy Bolduc and Olivia Kingston played well defensively.
