# Around the Granite State: Wednesday's Roundup

The Salem High School field scored twice in the third quarter and held on to beat Pinkerton 2-0 on Wednesday.

Madeline Hannon and Shayne Santo scored 57 seconds apart to open the second half as the Blue Devils (2-5-1) snapped a six-game winless streak. Emily Young also had an assist and Lyndsay Troisi made three saves.

Pinkerton (4-4) got two saves from Elise LeBlanc while Emma Madsen also played well on defense.

**No. 2 Windham 3, Timberlane 2**

Sophie Manchester scored two goals, including the game-winner late in the third quarter, to lift the Jaguars (9-0-1) past the Owls (2-6).

Sophia Ponzini also had a goal and an assist for Windham, while Sarah Adamske assisted on Manchester's second goal, which came with 1:13 remaining in the third.

Annie Mitchell played well in goal to help the Jaguars get the win.

### Girls Volleyball

**Hollis Brookline 3, Alvirne 0**

The Cavaliers (7-1) swept the Broncos (3-4) to get their sixth straight win. Game scores were 25-21, 25-13 and 25-9.

Cheyenne Colbert led the way for HB with 10 kills while Gwynn Thomas had 19 assists and Rachel Sheppard added 10 assists.

Maia Schneider had seven aces and seventeen digs and Kate Berrigan chipped in with three blocks.

**Portsmouth Christian 3, Hillsboro-Deering 0**

The Eagles (4-2) bounced back with a win over the Hillcats. Game scores were 25-19, 25-14 and 25-13.

Madelyn Hardy led the way with five kills and seven aces while Kailey Holt had four kills, 14 assists and four aces. Emily Esters recorded four aces and eight digs and Heidi Geyer added three kills for PCA.
