Around the Granite State: Wednesday's Roundup
Ronan McNamara and Nick Squatrito helped lead the ConVal Regional High School boys lacrosse team to a 12-5 win over Goffstown.
McNamara had five goals and an assist and Squatrito had 11 saves, as the Cougars (2-1) scored five goals in the second quarter to break a 2-2 tie.
Cody Siegel had three goals and Kell McMahon added another and both had a great day on faceoffs. Seth Fowler had a goal and three assists while Kiernan King and Jaxon Salamy also had a goal apiece.
No. 10 Windham 18, Hollis Brookline 8
The Jaguars broke open a 4-4 tie at halftime, with Alex Ryan leading the way with six goals and three assists.
Nate Crowley added five goals and Drew Denton had three goals and three assists for Windham (4-0). Evan Conley had a goal and two assists and Matt O'Connor had two goals. Blake Bazin had a goal and an assist.
No. 4 Portsmouth 10, Newburyport (Mass.) 1
The Clippers (4-0) picked up an out-of-state road win against the Clippers.
Nick Smith had two goals and an assist and won 9 of 13 faceoffs while Ben Purcell, Keghan Myers and Dom Maldari each had two goals and an assist.
Keigen Delisle had a goal and two assists and Zach Amend also scored a goal. Skyler Mikolaities made six saves while Max Brown and Peter Wool played well on defense.
It was Portsmouth's second win in as many days, as the Clippers beat Coe-Brown on Tuesday. Maldari had three goals and an assist while Dylan Roelofs and Purcell had two goals and an assist each.
James Buchan and Myers had two goals apeice while Amend had a goal and an assist. Brady Kilroy had a goal and Smith and Delisle each had an assist. Mikolaities had three saves and Kai Paterson made four stops.
No. 3 Pinkerton 14, Salem 1
The Astros led 10-0 at halftime and cruised back into the win column against the Blue Devils.
Joey Gallo had three goals and four assists while Ryan Lynch and Michael Uber had four goals apiece. Liam Prescott added two goals and Adam Scala had one.
Colby Gagnon, Kyle Zirn and Braydon Bourque each had an assist and Tyler Leblance made seven saves. Cole Frank was 14 of 14 on faceoffs while Alex Tsetseranos was 2 for 3.
Pelham 15, Milford 8
The Spartans came up short against the Pythons, despite getting three goals from Chuck Urda.
Logan Barnhill and Cade Bouchard had two goals apiece while Jack Seals had a goal and Harris Jones had an assist.
James Brew made eight saves while Tyler Descoteaux and Luca DeRosa played well defensively.
Laconia 6, Lebanon 3
Cam Harriman had a big game in goal to help lead the Sachems (3-1) to the win.
Carson Tucker had three goals and an assist for Laconia while Tim Ausevich, Brody Rollins and JP Harriman added a goal apiece.
Dover 12, Spaulding 7
Ryan Hodge had three goals and three assists to help the Green Wave get the win over the Red Raiders.
Preston Kozlowski added three goals and an assist while Micah Krick had two goals and two assists and Cody Dubois had two goals and a helper. Tobey Desroches added a goal and an assist and Aidan Bauer chipped in two assists.
Gabe Rubio also scored for Dover while Lukah Ready and Vincent Ciccotelli had an assist apiece.
Girls Lacrosse
No. 7 Souhegan 14, No. 6 Exeter 8
Elle Stevenson had three goals and two assists to help lead the Sabers to a road win over the Blue Hawks.
Lyla Kimball had three goals and an assist while Natalie Heimarck had three goals. MacKenzie Cretsinger had two goals while Emma Kennedy, Karina Kruchynska and Riley Devine had a goal each and Maddie Lim had an assist.
No. 10 Hollis Brookline 18, Merrimack 7
Abbey Ogren had five goals and two assists and Alyssa Hill recorded three goals and five assists to lead the Cavaliers to the win.
Bella Haytayan, Ireland Stark and Sabrina Hill had a goal and an assist apiece. Cailean Roy and Juliette Ogren each had a goal and an assist while Paige Mello and Maddison Caetano had a goal each.
Hallie Bardani made six saves for HB (4-1).
Campbell 18, Trinity 5
The Pioneers had a rough first half, but outscored the Cougars in the second half in a Division III game.
Arabella Mariano had four goals for Trinity and Maeve Smith also scored. Madeline Souza made eight saves while Mariano, Smith and Carolyn Burleigh did well on the draw controls.
Dover 20, Spaulding 4
The Green Wave picked up their fourth win of the season, getting four goals and two assists from Julia Rowley.
Payton Denning added three goals and three assists and Molly Goodridge and Megan Healy had three goals apiece for Dover (4-1). Samantha Dyer also had two goals.
Leyden Churchill, Julia Bastille, Danielle Young, Zayda Clairmont and Kathryhn Costello added a goal piece.
Timberlane 15, John Stark 4
Kendall Morrill had four goals to help lead the Owls to a win over the Generals.
Lily Brien and Becca Silva added three goals apiece while Maia Parker had two goals for Timberlane.
No. 4 Pinkerton 17, Keene-Monadnock 0 (Tuesday)
The Astros moved to 3-1 on the season behind four goals from Ali Lamphere.
Hailey Schnider and Mea Lally had three goals and an assist each and Hannah Lisauskas added two goals. Bella Pinardi, Ashlyn Ledoux, Lilly Jeans, Elise Saab and Piper Knowlton also had a goal apiece. Lauren Sweeney made four saves.
Boys Volleyball
Hollis Brooklin 3, Coe-Brown 0
The Cavaliers (4-1) bounced back from their first loss with a hard-fought sweep of the Bears. Scores were 25-21, 26-24 and 25-21.
Jake Laborde had 15 kills and two aces and Aidan Norris recorded seven kills and 12 digs. Ethan Norris had 32 assists and four aces while Bradley Noble chipped in 11 digs.
