Around the Granite State: Wednesday's Roundup
The Hollis Brookline High School boys volleyball team picked up its second win in two tries, sweeping Souhegan 3-0. Game scores were 25-10, 25-13 and 25-18.
Jake Laborde had 11 kills and 11 aces to lead the Cavaliers while Aidan Norris had six kills and four aces. Kaleb Popham added three kills and Ethan Norris had 17 assists.
HB will wrapup a three-match homestand to open the season with a visit from Timberlane on Friday.
Girls Lacrosse
Dover 16, Timberlane 6
Megan Healy led the way for the Green Wave with four goals and four assists, as Dover improved to 2-0.
Danielle Young added three goals and a helper and Molly Goodridge also had three goals. Julia Rowley recorded two goals and three assists and Julia Bastille also had three assists.
Payton Denning, Rylen Gray, Arianna Bowden and Sam Dyer also had a goal apiece.
Concord 19, Nashua North 11
The Crimson Tide picked up their first win of the season behind Mary Martinson, who had eight goals and an assist.
Greta Norton added four goals and Sarah Leuci had three for Concord while Emma Beaujouan had two. Sofie Payne had a goal and an assist and Tess Mulkerron had a goal and Ava Philbrook had an assist.
Boys Lacrosse
No. 1 Bishop Guertin 22, Nashua North 0
Aiden Laurendeau, Quinn Cepiel and Kevin Boderick each had three goals to lead the Cardinals to a win over the Titans.
Brady Dumont and Tim Kiely had two goals apiece while Connor Guibord, Connor Bouvier, Emerson Warren, Jacob Caron, Carter Jozokos, Daniel Woodford, Kyle Mach, Ryan Joliceur and Sebastian Zeman had a goal apiece.
Will Murphy and Michael MacDonough each had a save.
