Around the Granite State: Wednesday's Roundup
For the second time this week, the Goffstown High School field hockey team knocked off Manchester Central-West 1-0.
Makayla Strickulis scored off a feed from Leah Berdeen in the third quarter and the Grizzlies held on for the win. Jaiden Lacerte and Maddie Sage combined for three saves.
Central-West goalie Megan Diers finished with four saves, and each team had seven penalty corners.
Concord 3, Bedford 1
Andie Reed and Kait McKinnon each scored in the first half to help lead the Crimson Tide to the win over the Bulldogs.
After Bedford cut the lead in half, scoring off a penalty corner, Emma Beaujouan deflected a shot by Maria Armaganian in to help Concord secure the win. Alice Rosenberg added an assist for the Crimson Tide.
Concord and Bedford will meet in the Division I preliminary round at 4 p.m. on Wednesday in Bedford.
