Around the Granite State: Wednesday's Roundup

The Londonderry High School field hockey team improved to 5-0 on the year with a 2-0 win Wednesday over Manchester Memorial.

Courtney Shay had two goals, one in each half, to lead the Lancers while Grace Chicko and Kayla Miles each had an assist.

Riley Walter made eight saves for Londonderry.

Concord 2, Manchester Central 1 (OT)

Julie Auld scored 10 minutes into overtime to help the Crimson Tide remain unbeaten in D1.

After a scoreless first half, Central took a 1-0 lead before Maria Armaganian scored for Concord (5-0) to force overtime. Concord was down a player for five minutes of overtime, but survived to get the win.

Timberlane 2, Nashua South 0

The Panthers came up short on the road to fall to 0-4 on the season. Courtney Tello made 12 saves to lead South.

John Stark 3, Plymouth 2 (OT)

The Bobcats rallied from a two-goal halftime deficit to force overtime, but came up short against the Generals in D2 action.

Olivia Eastman scored on a putback for Plymouth's first goal and Emma Webster converted on a penalty corner to tie the game.

Eastman had a chance to give Plymouth (3-3) the lead on a penalty stroke, but couldn't convert. Gabby Karntakosol also played well for the Bobcats.

Girls Volleyball

Hollis Brookline 3, Bedford 0

The Cavaliers improved to 5-0 in D1 with a sweep of the Bulldogs. Game scores were 25-21, 25-20 and 25-20.

Maren Anderson led HB with 11 kills and four aces and Kaleigh Whalen also added 11 kills. Hanna Close recorded eight kills and Sammie Sheppard had 12 digs and three aces while Angelina Leonard had 28 assists and three aces.

Windham 3, Bishop Guertin 1

The Cardinals fell to 2-3 on the season with a loss to the Jaguars. Scores were 25-14, 26-28, 26-24 and 25-19.

Libby Knapp led Bishop Guertin with 11 kills and nine digs and Emma Charron also had nine digs. Kristen Coumas recorded 27 assists and Dominique Von Muhlenbrock Rodriguez had seven kills and four digs.

Newfound 3, Epping 0

The Blue Devils (1-1) suffered their first loss of the D3 season, falling by scores of 25-17, 25-19 and 27-25.

Jasmyne Bickford had 11 digs and three aces and Belle Snyder added three kills, five digs and a block. Oakley Lustenberger had 16 assists and six digs.

Farmington 3, Portsmouth Christian 0

The Eagles dropped a D3 match at home to the Tigers by scores of 25-12, 25-20 and 25-19.

Becca Jones had six kills and three blocks for PCA (0-4) while Lindsey Hatfield had five kills, two aces and nine digs. Joey Skubisz and Bella Ouellette combined for 13 assists while Hannah Abraham had 15 digs and Liahna Messier added six.
