# Around the Granite State: Wednesday/Thursday Roundup

The Windham High School boys lacrosse team picked up a 13-6 win over Timberlane in Division II action on Thursday.

Jake Rust led the way for the Jaguars with seven goals and an assist while Nolan Cunningham had two goals and three assists. Jake Aleksa and Noah Rust added a goal and two assists apiece.

Tyler Folsom and Parker Rice had a goal each and Mason Belsky, Alex Li and Niko Piandes each added an assist.

The win came a day after Windham had its three-game winning streak snapped in an 11-5 loss to Hollis Brookline on Wednesday. Noah Rust and Aleksa each had a goal and an assist against the Cavaliers while Jake Rust, Folsom and Alek Tunick had a goal apiece.

**Milford gets two wins**

The Spartans picked up a 17-8 win over Gilford on Tuesday, getting six goals and two assists each from Cam O'Shaughnessy and Gavin Urda.

Owen Clary added two goals and three assists while Matt Hannon had two goals and one helper and Owen Hutchinson had a goal and three assists. Tim Gagnon made nine saves while Josh Shaw, Alex Taylor and Kyle Forsley were strong defensively.

Milford followed that up with a 17-7 win over Lebanon on Wednesday to improve to 6-5 in Division III.

O'Shaughnessy led the way with six goals and an assist and Urda added four goals and an assist. Clary chipped in two goals and six assists while Hutchinson had two goals and Riley O'Shaughnessy, Jakob Fantasia and Ben Lopez also scored.

Corey Girouard added two assists and Liam Joyner had one while Shaw played well defensively with six turnovers and 10 groundballs. Gagnon made nine saves.

**Nashua South splits a pair**

The Panthers picked up a big win at Hanover, beating the Marauders 7-6 in overtime on Tuesday.

Jaden Murphy scored the game-winner in overtime while Tyler Bernard had three goals, including the tying goal with 15 seconds left in regulation. Drew Fleury had two goals and Devin Linscott also scored while Nate Radin made 20 saves.

Graham Penfield led Hanover with four goals.

South dropped a game at Exeter on Wednesday, falling to the Blue Hawks 13-7\. Linscott had a goal and three assists while Joe Bodi (assist) and Bernard had two goals each.

Fleury added a goal and an assist and Murphy also scored while Radin made 15 saves.

Exeter got four goals from Mike Penna in the win.

**Goffstown 9, Bow 8**

The Grizzlies held off a late charge by the Falcons to win their seventh game in a row on Wednesday to improve to 9-3 in Division II.

Eric Dubois, Konnaugh Donovan and Nick Mason had two goals each for Goffstown while Devin Young had a goal and two assists. Griffin Cook added a goal and a helper while Connor Chapdelaine had a goal and Max Lajeunesse had an assist.

Finn Grant made 15 saves for the Grizzlies.

Bow (5-6) got two goals each from Nick McGovern, Mason Grasso and Matt Harkins. Jack Wixon added three assists.

**Inter-Lakes/Moultonborough 12, Coe-Brown 8**

The Bears lost for the third time in four games against the Lakers on Wednesday. Ben Heyligger and Jacob Radwan had two goals apiece and Jack Cinquegrano also scored for Coe-Brown.

### Girls Lacrosse

**Winnacunnet 19, Hollis Brookline 3**

The Cavaliers fell to 9-4 in Division II with a road loss to the Warriors.

CeCe Fetter had a goal and four draw controls for HB and Kelsey Sweeney and Rachel Cerato also had a goal apiece. Tasha White added an assist and Olivia Valentine made 12 saves.

**Nashua South 14, Keene 4**

The Panthers moved to 6-7 in Division I with a win over the Blackbirds on Wednesday.

Laura Galvez, Liz Harrington and Kirsten McIntire each had three goals, including McIntire's hundredth career point. Paige Garland added two goals and Hannah Dumaine, Tara Saliany and Bailey Morin added a goal each.

Abbey Rowe made six saves for the Panthers.

### Boys Volleyball

**Hollis Brookline 3, Timberlane 2**

The Cavaliers handed the Owls their first loss of the season on Wednesday by scores of 17-25, 25-17, 25-22, 18-25 and 15-13.

Jonathan Brackett led HB (9-4) with 32 kills, including the 500th of his career, while Scott VanCoughnett set a school record with 52 assists in the match to go with four aces.

Matt Simco added 11 kills and eight blocks and Mike Moscatelli had 10 kills and four blocks. Felix Yang recorded 13 digs.

### Softball

**Bedford 15, Nashua South 3**

The Bulldogs scored 15 unanswered runs after falling behind early to improve to 7-7 in Division I on Wednesday.

Maddie Fraitzl got the win and went 3 for 4 with two RBIs while Eric Barley hit two home runs and drove in six. Morgan Fraitzl, Amelia Edwards and Maddie Lucontoni added two RBIs each for Bedford.
