Around the Granite State: Tuesday's Roundup
The Derryfield School boys lacrosse team got a big day from Matt Weimer in a 15-1 win over Manchester Memorial/West on Tuesday.
Weimer finished with eight goals and an assist to lead the Cougars (6-0, No. 4 in the NHHSS Coaches Poll) while Henry Howe had two goals and Jon MacLean had a goal and six assists. John Anderson and Nathan Dudley added a goal and an assist each while Connor O'Brien and Zack Horton also scored.
Gunnar Senatore and Anthony Imbriano added two assists apiece and Chas Dean had one helper, while Avry Truex (one) and Ryan Caperrelli (three) combined for four saves.
Portsmouth 11, Goffstown 6
The Clippers bounced back from their first loss of the season by getting a win over the Grizzlies behind five goals from Jack Parker.
Portsmouth (5-1, No. 6 in the NHHSS Coaches Poll) also got a goal and three assists from Cole Brams while Dom Iafolla had two goals. Jack Dowling, Freddie Hunter and Ryan Groleau also had a goal apiece.
Goffstown (2-4) got three goals from Nick Mason while Konnaugh Donovan and Eric Dubois had a goal and an assist each. Austin Taylor also scored for the Grizzlies.
Bishop Guertin 15, Souhegan 6
The Cardinals scored 10 times in the first quarter and never looked back in their win over the Sabers.
Sean Cameron had five goals and five assists to lead Bishop Guertin (5-1, No. 1 in the NHHSS Coaches Poll) and Dawson Clark finished with six goals and an assist. Chris Kiely also had three goals while Alex Koutsos had a goal and an assist and Ben Abladian had two helpers.
James Heitmiller had four saves for the Cardinals while Matt Burns finished with three and Matt Peicker had one.
Nashua South 7, Concord 2
The Panthers got 14 saves from Dominic Pasquale to hold off the Crimson Tide.
Drew Fleury led the offense with three goals and an assist and Nate Campbell added two goals and a helper for South (3-2, No. 8 in the NHHSS Coaches Poll). Joe Bodi also had a goal and an assist while Connor Rowsell had a goal and Jordan Bodwell had an assist.
Girls Lacrosse
Pinkerton 12, Winnacunnet 11 (OT)
Lauren Lisauskas scored with 18 seconds left in the second half of overtime to lift the Astros past the Warriors in a non-division game.
Lisauskas finished with four goals and two assists while Lilly Auger (two assists), Caroline Daziel, Kiley Davis and Zoe Howe added two goals apiece. Hailey Peredna, Ali Lamphere and Courtney Lamphere chipped in with an assist each for Pinkerton (4-1)
Dani Martineau (one) and Lauren Sweeney (nine) combined to make 10 saves in goal.
Nashua South 11, Concord 10
The Panthers were able to hold off the Crimson Tide to win their third in a row.
Kirsten McIntire finished with four goals and four assists for South (4-2) and Olivia Johnson added four goals and two assists. Sarah Signorello had two goals and two assists and teamed with Bailey Morin for 10 draw controls.
Liz Harrington also had a goal for South while Morin, Cait Harrington, Izzy Bolduc, Emma Pucillo and Livvy Kingston played well in front of Rileigh Bunton, who made 10 saves.
