Around the Granite State: Tuesday's Roundup
The Exeter High School boys lacrosse team knocked off Pinkerton Academy 12-10 on Tuesday.
Connor Holly led the Blue Hawks (10-2, No. 2 in the NHHSS Coaches Poll) with three goals while Aiden Drunsic, Gavin Lechner and Jackson Hale had a goal apiece. Jake Mantell, Spencer Clark and Hayden Lechner also had a goal apiece.
Pinkerton (9-3, No. 3) got four goals and two assists from Riley Spellman and Ryan Lynch also had two goals. Hunter Drouin and Mason Barbone each had a goal and two assists while Joey Gallo and Michael Uber added a goal each. Tyler LeBlanc made 10 saves and Cole Frank was 14 of 25 on faceoffs.
Pinkerton 14, Concord 4
Drouin had seven goals to lead the Astros past the Crimson Tide on Saturday.
Lynch added two goals and Barbone had four assists for Pinkerton. Spellman, Jackson Morrissette and Joey Gallo added a goal and an assist each while Nathan Jasper and Garrett Mulhall also scored.
Colby Gagnon added an assist while Frank had an assist and was 15 of 18 on faceoffs. Curtis Michaud made three saves.
Concord got a goal each from Sam Nichol, Dan O'Brien and Nate Doherty.
Bishop Guertin 19, Nashua North 0
The Cardinals (13-0, No. 1) picked up a shutout win over the Titans on Tuesday, with 14 players scoring goals.
Jon Krikorian led Bishop Guertin with three goals and three assists while Michael Kiely had two goals and an assist and Brady Dumont and Jacob Caron each scored twice.
Connor Bouvier added a goal and two assists while Nick McGovern had two assists and Dawson Clark, Connor Hughes and Kevin Broderick had a goal and an assist each. Declan Wilkie, Tanner McLaughlin, Chris Heitmiller, Aiden Laurendeau, Connor Guibord and Micad Dunsmoor had a goal apiece.
Matt Peicker, Dylan Steward, Zach Connerty, Will Murphy and Michael MacDonough each had one save.
Bishop Guertin 21, Nashua South 5
Krikorian had five goals and three assists in the Cardinals win over the Panthers on Monday.
Wilkie added two goals and two assists and McGovern had a goal and three assists for Bishop Guertin. Dumont and Laurendeau had two goals and an assist apiece while Bouvier scored twice. John Sullivan had a goal and two assists.
Michael Kiely added a goal and an assist while Heitmiller, Guibord, Calvin Jozokos and Caleb Yeung also scored. McLaughlin and Ryan Jolicoeur had an assist each.
Connerty made five saves while Murphy and MacDonough had one apiece.
South (3-5, No. 8) got three goals and an assist from Drew Fleury while Nate Campbell and Jaden Murphy had a goal apiece. Ethan Johnson made nine saves.
Nashua South 16, Souhegan 8
The Panthers picked up their first win since April 29 with the victory over the Sabers on Saturday.
Fleury led the way with seven goals while Murphy had four goals and an assist. Griffin Johnson had a goal and two helpers while Campbell and Sam Fletcher each had two goals. Ethan Johnson made 10 saves.
Souhegan got four goals and an assist each from Alex Karpawich and Riley Lawhorn. Nathan Fritz made 10 saves.
Hollis Brookline 15, Milford 3
The Cavaliers (9-1, No. 10) saw a couple of players reach milestones in the win over Milford on Tuesday.
Joe O'Reilly had four goals and four assists, including the 100th assist of his career, and Hunter Hudzik had four goals and two assists, giving him 100 career points. Ethan Bender and Tommy Anderson also had three assists apiece for HB.
Ben Dufoe added three goals and two assists while Jake Roy had two goals and an assist. Andrew Torgersen and Garrett Sturges had a goal and an assist each
Scott Walsh made 10 saves for the Cavs.
Kingswood 6, Gilford 5 (2OT)
The Knights remained unbeaten on the season thanks to a goal by Nick Potenza in the second overtime against the Golden Eagles on Tuesday.
Concord 13, Salem 6
Nichol had five goals to help lead the Crimson Tide to the win on Tuesday.
Brody McGonigle added two goals and an assist for Concord while Eaton Tarbell had goal and an assist.
Laconia 6, Kennett 5
The Sachems got two goals each from Cole Roy, Carson Tucker and Bryson Collins. Cam Harriman played well in goal behind the defense of Zach Whitney, Edgar Conroy and Jake Mello.
Oyster River-Newmarket 7, Manchester Memorial-Central 4
The Bobcats won their fourth in a row on Tuesday behind three goals and four assists from Hayden Marshall.
Marc Parson added two goals and an assist while Jake Failla and Jake Lyczak had a goal apiece. Finn Mason made seven saves.
Girls Lacrosse
Timberlane 15, Alvirne 1
The Owls picked up the win Tuesday over the Broncos behind seven goals from Kendall Morrill.
Avery Bowman, Becca Silva and Maddie Pettingail also had two goals apiece for Timberlane.
Campbell 18, Alvirne 5
The Broncos dropped a game to the Cougars on Monday, despite getting 14 saves from Zaira O'Leary.
Hailey Ramalhinho had three goals while Alvirne also got a goal from Maddy Nicolosi and Gina Tadesko, the first of her career.
Hollis Brookline 15, Milford 4
The Cavaliers moved to 6-3 on the year with the win Tuesday over the Spartans.
Abbey Magnuszewski led the way with five goals and an assist while Alyssa Hill had two goals and two assists. Nicole Heiter also had two goals and one helper and Kaitlyn Castriotta had a goal and an assist.
Cailean Roy, Abbie Ogren, Julia Vella, Sammy Atlas and Bella Haytayan each had a goal while Mel Winters, Isabella Martinez and Noelle Clark each had an assist.
Libby Rutledge and Hallie Bardani played well in goal for HB.
Kingswood 20, Gilford 9
The Knights got six goals from Ana Ekstrom in the win Tuesday. Erin Meyer added five goals and Catie Shannon had four for Kingswood.
Ashley Hart, Molly McLean and Aly Pichette each had two goals for Gilford.
Dover 19, Spaulding 4
The Red Raiders fell to the Green Wave on Tuesday. Morgan White had two goals for Spaulding while Bella and Sophia Olsen had a goal apiece. Zoey Cormican made 14 saves.
Pinkerton 20, Exeter 10
The Astros improved to 11-2 on the season with the win over the Blue Hawks on Monday.
Caroline Daziel led the way with six goals and three assists while Abby Jowett had four goals and three assists. Ali Lamphere also had four goals for Pinkerton while Tatum Howe scored three times.
Caitlyn Seleny had a goal and three assists and Justine Doyle had two goals and an assist.
Lauren Sweeney made six saves and Naomi Menczywor had two saves for the Astros.
St. Thomas 15, Goffstown 14
The Saints pulled out the win Monday thanks to four goals and three assists from Brooke Chandler.
Sarah Leahy added four goals and Megan Leahy recorded three. Emily Dornan, Katherine Dornan, Ella Kuselias and Jaimie Murray each had a goal for St. Thomas.
Boys Volleyball
Hollis Brookline 3, Souhegan 0
The Cavaliers improved to 7-2 on the year by beating the Sabers on Tuesday. Game scores were 25-11, 27-25 and 25-15.
Brian Szewczyk had six kills, five aces and two blocks for HB and Jake Laborde had seven kills and an ace. Kaleb Popham added four kills and Max Marshall had three aces and 20 assists.
