Around the Granite State: Thursday's Roundup

The Winnacunnet High School boys lacrosse team picked up a pair of wins this week over St. Thomas, beating the Saints 14-3 on Tuesday and 17-5 on Thursday to remain undefeated.

In the first game, the Warriors (7-0, No. 7 in the NHHSS Coaches Poll) got four goals and an assist from Caleb White and three goals and two assists from Jack Ellis. Ben Chase and Cole Fisher also had three goals and a helper apiece.

Ben Merrick added a goal and an assist and James O'Hara had two assists while Carter Renaud made six saves.

White had six goals and five assists in the second half and Ellis added three goals and seven assists to lead Winnacunnet.

Fisher recorded four goals and Merrick had a goal and an assist while Chase, Kyle Tilley and Levon McCann each had a goal and Min Batchelder had an assist. Renaud recorded six saves.

The Warriors travel to Derry on Saturday to face Pinkerton at 5 p.m.

Pinkerton 19, Nashua North 2

The Astros scored nine goals in the first quarter and never looked back in their win over the Titans.

Hunter Drouin had six goals and Ryan Lynch and Michael Uber added three apiece for Pinkerton (6-2, No. 3). Liam Prescott had two goals and and assist and Aidan Price also scored twice.

Jake Rossignol and Jackson Morrissette had a goal and an assist apiece and Andy MacDonald also scored. Riley Spellman and Declan Conroy each had two assists while Mason Barbone, Joey Gallo and Kyle Zirn each had an assist.

Tyler LeBlanc (three saves) and Curtis Muchaud (two) split time in goal and Cole Frank was 12 of 15 on faceoffs.

North (1-8) got a goal apiece from Robert Canaway and Trent Gerlowski while Jack Peters had two assists.

Girls Lacrosse

Timberlane 16, Oyster River-Newmarket 4

The Owls picked up their second win of the week over the Bobcats on Thursday.

Kendall Morrill led the way with six goals for Timberlane while Avery Bowman added three goals in the win.

Pinkerton 14, Nashua North 8

Caroline Daziel had four goals and an assist to lead the Astros to their second win over the Titans.

Abby Jowett added three goals while Amy Quigley, Elise Saab and Hailey Schneider each scored twice. Ali Lamphere recorded a goal and two assists and Naomi Menczywor made two saves.

Boys Volleyball

Hollis Brookline 3, Keene 0

The Cavaliers improved to 4-2 with the sweep of the Blackbirds. Game scores were 25-20, 25-21 and 25-14.

Aidan Norris had five kills, two aces and five digs for HB while Jake Laborde had four kills, three aces and four digs. Max Marshall recorded seven aces and had 18 assists.

Matt Kelley chipped in with three kills and two blocks and Jack Delaney had two kills, one ace and three digs.
