Around the Granite State: Thursday's Roundup

The Hollis Brookline High School girls lacrosse team picked up its fourth win of the season by beating Pelham 15-5 on Thursday.

Abbey Magnuszewski (two assists), Alyssa Hill (one assist) and Ellie Maxwell each had three goals for the Cavaliers (4-0) while Kaitlyn Castriotta added two goals.

Sammy Atlas has a goal and an assist and Nicole Heiter and Abbie Ogren also scored, as did Daniella Allanach, who notched her first varsity goal. Hallie Bardani, Cailean Roy, Mack Jusczak and Brooke Allanach added an assist each.

Libby Rutledge played well in goal while Paige Magnuszewski and Morgan Broadhurst were solid defensively.

Londonderry 15, Merrimack 2

The Lancers improved to 2-2 with their second win over the Tomahawks this week.

Jenna Stowell and Caroline Leone led the way with five goals apiece while Izzy Augusta had four goals.

Souhegan 15, Exeter 7

Cali Bishop had four goals and four assists and Abby Hawkes also had four goals to lead the Sabers to the win.

Elle Stevenson added three goals and two draw controls and Margot Manz also scored three goals. Nicole O'Rourke recorded a goal for Souhegan while Lyla Kimball (two draw controls) and McKenzie Cretsinger (one draw control) had an assist each.

Shannon Hargreaves made 11 saves for the Sabers.

Nashua South 21, Keene-Monadnock 7

The Panthers continued to roll on offense as they improved to 4-0 on the season.

Olivia Johnson led the way with seven goals and an assist while Kaitlyn West had two goals and four helpers. Kylie Dawe had three goals and two assists for South while Ella Benzekri had four goals and Soleil Dubois had two goals and two assists.

Bella Walsh also scored twice and Maya Rioux had a goal and an assist and Audrey Mullaney made three saves. Dawe, Benzekri, Dubois and Maddy Matelewski combined for 13 draw controls.

Kingswood 16, Inter-Lakes/Moultonborough 9

The Knights got four goals from Abby Kelly in a win over the Lakers. Ana Ekstrom and Catie Shannon added three goals apiece.

Katie Veile had five goals to lead ILM.

Boys Lacrosse

Bishop Guertin 11, Pinkerton 2

Brady Dumont scored four goals to lead the Cardinals to the win over the Astros.

Christ Heitmiller added three goals and an assist and Aiden Laurendeau had two goals while Jon Krikorian recorded a goal and an assist. Tim Kiely also scored for Bishop Guertin.

Michael Keily and Connor Bouvier each had two assists while John Sullivan and Nick McGovern had an assist each. Zach Connerty made six saves and Matthew Peicker had one.

Winnacunnet 10, Windham 6

Jack Ellis scored a goal and recorded his 100th career point for the Warriors in their win over the Jaguars.

Cole Fisher added two goals and two assists and Ben Merrimack also scored twice and had an assist. Colin Kimball and James O'Hara had two goals apiece and Ben Chase had a goal and an assist.

Caleb White chipped in with two helpers while Carter Renaud made 13 saves and Lance Trinceri was 14 of 19 on faceoffs.

Boys Volleyball

Windham 3, Hollis Brookline 1

The Cavaliers dropped a tough match to the Jaguars in four sets. Game scores were 17-25, 25-23, 25-15 and 25-23.

Jake Laborde had 13 kills and four aces to lead HB (2-2) and Aidan Norris had eight kills and three aces. John Sommer recorded seven kills while Brian Szewczyk had six blocks and Max Marshall had 35 assists.

The Cavs battled back from deficits a handful of times, including a 12-8 deficit in the fourth set to tie it up at 18, but Windham (3-0) was able to hang on for the win.
