# Around the Granite State: Thursday's Roundup

The Souhegan High School field hockey team scored two goals each in the first and third quarters Thursday to beat Pelham 4-1.

Juliette Rafuse got the scoring started 4:42 into the game, when she crushed a shot from the top of the circle into the back of the cage. Annika Madeja scored off an assist from Molly Atkinson with 49.2 seconds left in the first to make it 2-0.

Pelham's Isabella Foley scored with 30.6 seconds to go in the first half to cut the lead to 2-1, but Miya Chorney score for Souhegan just 2:16 into the third quarter. Catie Summers scored off a feed from Nicole O'Rourke with 7:48 to go in the third to make it a three-goal game.

**Nashua South 2, Nashua North 1**

The Panthers rallied from an early deficit to beat the Titans for the third time this season.

Kaitlyn West scored the game-tying goal and Soleil Dubois gave South the win on a goal with three minutes left in the game.

Courtney Tello made eight saves for the Panthers while Amy Marison, Lizzie DeRusha and Ruth Mosley played well.

**Plymouth 3, Winnisquam 1**

The Bobcats scored twice in the fourth quarter to break a 1-1 tie and held on to beat the Bears.

Ashley Bennett had two goals, the first of which gave Plymouth the lead in the first half. After Winnisquam tied it in the third quarter, Emma Webster scored off a feed from Brooke Austin on a penalty corner to give the Bobcats the lead.

Bennett scored off an assist from Holly Hoyt with two minutes remaining to secure the win. Hoyt, Webster and Gwen Merrifield played well in the midfield for Plymouth.

### Girls Volleyball

**Bishop Guertin 3, Trinity 0**

The Cardinals picked up a win over the Pioneers by scores of 25-11, 25-10 and 25-11.

Maddy Keating led the way with eight aces, five kills and seven digs while Julia Foster had four aces and 16 assists. Meghan Stack also had 10 kills for Bishop Guertin.

**Bedford 3, Hollis Brookline 1**

The Cavaliers took the first set, but the Bulldogs came back to win the next three. Game scores were 26-28, 25-12, 25-18 and 25-22.

Hanna Close had 14 kills and four aces for HB while Emily Dreyer had 10 kills and Cheyenne Colbert had seven kills. Sophie Jordan recorded 18 assists and Jess Cooper had 16 digs.

**Epping 3, Nute 1**

The Blue Devils knocked off the Rams in four sets, 16-25, 25-18, 25-13 and 25-8.

Haleigh Sullivan recorded five aces, five kills and eight digs for Epping while Gracie Re had one ace, six kills, 18 digs and one assist. Pacy Morgado had four aces, four kills, six assists and seven digs and Sophia Morang had 16 digs and one assist.
