Around the Granite State: Saturday's Roundup

The Nashua High School South girls lacrosse team continued its offensive assault this season, beating Salem 17-5 in a Division I game on Saturday.

Eight players scored goals, led by Ella Benzekri, who had five goals and two assists, and Maddy Matylewski, who had four goals and an assist. South (3-0, ARV in NHHSSports Coaches Poll) has scored 17 goals in each of its first three games.

Kaitlyn West added two goals and four assists and Bella Walsh had two goals and a helper. Maizie Barker and Maddie Berthiaume had a goal and an assist each while Maren Lowell and Anna Pasquale had an assist each. Kylie Dawe had two assists and Morgan Uzdanovich and Karina O'Donnell had an assist each.

Keira Walsh made six saves and Audrey Mullaney stopped two shots, while Bailey Carroll, Nessa Reeder, Soleil Dubois, Nevaeh Eppolitto and Brynn Tefft played well defensively.

No. 7 Londonderry 10, No. 6 Hollis Brookline 8

The Lancers went on the road to pick up their second win in as many days.

Caroline Leone led the way with four goals and an assist while Meg Daileanes and Natalie Washington had two goals and an assist each. Tara Wright also scored twice for Londonderry (2-1).

HB (2-1) got two goals and three assists from Alyssa Hill and two goals an an assist from Paige Mello. Abbie Ogren, Bella Haytayan, Sabrina Hill and Cailean Roy had a goal apiece and Juiliette Ogren had an assist.

Hallie Bardini made eight saves for the Cavs and Kailyn Castriotta played well defensively.

Boys Lacrosse

Longmeadow (Mass.) 14, No. 2 Pinkerton 2

Michael Uber and Liam Prescott had a goal and an assist each but it wasn't enough Saturday for the Astros.

Curtis Michaud made eight saves and Tyler Leblanc had two. Cole Frank won 11 of 18 faceoffs.

No. 9 Concord 7, Yarmouth (Maine) 5

The Crimson Tide picked up their first win of the year on the road, getting three goals and an assist from Nate Doherty.

Parker Savoy had a goal and an assist and Danny O'Brian had two assists. Colin Nelson, Max Leahy and Joey Tarbell added a goal apiece and Jonathan McDonald had an assist.

No. 4 Portsmouth 15, Hollis Brookline 4 (Friday)

Mike O'Neil had five goals to help lead the Clippers to a big win over the Cavaliers.

Zac Amend added three goals and an assist and Keigan Delisle had a goal and four assists. Keghan Myers added two goals and an assist while Dom Maldari, Dylan Roelofs and Ben Purcell had a goal and an assist apeice.

Briggs Catino also had a goal and Nick Smith went 5 of 10 on faceoffs.

HB got three goals from Jacob Roy.

Boys Volleyball

Hollis Brookline 3, Timberlane 0 (Friday)

The Cavaliers improved to 3-0 on the early season with a sweep of the Owls. Game scores were 25-11, 25-19 and 25-11.

Jake Laborde had 14 kills for HB and Aidan Norris added eight kills. Kaleb Popham had six kills and three aces while Ethan Norris recorded 11 assists.
