ROUNDUP: The Goffstown High School football team finished the regular season undefeated following Saturday's 46-13 win over Manchester Memorial.
The Goffstown High School football team finished the regular season undefeated following Saturday's 46-13 win over Manchester Memorial.
Zach Picard rushed for 159 yards and two touchdowns and Jarrett Henault threw for two touchdowns and rushed for another as the Grizzlies (5-0) scored 46 straight points in between the Crusaders' two scores.
Henault was just 6 of 21 passing but threw for 189 yards with two touchdowns and an interception while the Goffstown quarterback also ran for 35 yards and a score. Jonah Lopez (four catches, 96 yards) and Caden Perry (two catches, 93 yards) each had a touchdown catch and Toby Halpern returned a fumble three yards for a touchdown.
Perry also had two interceptions, the first of which set up Goffstown's first touchdown.
Erik Seymore had 63 yards rushing and a touchdown for Memorial (3-2) and Kai Colson had 71 yards on the ground. Jeffrey Josefik was 11 of 25 passing for 89 yards with three interceptions while Sawyer Bergeron had four catches for 39 yards.
Salem 26, Windham 14
The Blue Devils got out to a 20-0 lead after three quarters before the Jaguars closed the gap.
Dante Fernandes has two rushing touchdowns, including a 5-yard score with under two minutes to play that preserved the win. Aidan McDonald and Cody Clements also rushed for touchdowns for Salem (3-1).
Joey DaSilva had a rushing touchdown for Windham (0-3) and also connected with Westin Lippold for a 14-yard touchdown.
Trinity 36, Campbell 0
The Pioneers ended a two-game skid with the shutout of the Cougars.
Peter Alisandro ran for three touchdowns while Michael Evans and Malith Yor also ran for scores for Trinity (3-2).
Field Hockey
Concord 3, Manchester Central-West 0
The Crimson Tide advanced to the D1 semifinals with a win over the Little Green.
Kaitlyn McKinnon had a goal and an assist for Concord while Maria Armaganian and Alice Rosenberg also scored. Emma Beaujouan also had an assist while Grace Leonard and Madison Raymond played well.
Girls Volleyball
Hollis Brookline 3, Merrimack 0
The Cavaliers ended the regular season with a win over the Tomahawks. Scores were 25-12, 25-17 and 25-14.
Meaghan Coutu had nine kills for HB (7-2) and Hanna Close added seven kills. Angelina Leonard had 21 assists and Jess Cooper recorded 10 digs and four aces while Annett Schlunk had three digs.
