Around the Granite State: Salem field hockey scores in 4th to get past Manchester Memorial (video)

SALEM - Shaelyn Burke scored the game's only goal to help the Salem High School field hockey team to a 1-0 win Monday over Manchester Memorial.

Burke scored with 13:20 left, with Jenny Olson getting the assist, and Lyndsay Troise making four saves. The Blue Devils (4-9-1) also had four penalty corners.

Memorial (2-13) got eight saves from Nyssa Barrett while the Crusaders had seven penalty corners.

Nashua South 1, Timberlane 1

Lizzie DeRusha scored on a penalty stroke for the Panthers (3-11-1), as they played to a tie with the Owls (6-7-1).

Kaitlyn Tello made 15 saves for South while Wylie Hart, Karina O'Donnell, Maren Lowell, Maddie Berthiaume and Brady Murray all played well.

Boys Soccer

Hollis Brookline 1, Souhegan 0 (2OT)

Ronan Finnegan scored for the Cavaliers (10-2) in the 97th minute to give them the win over the Sabers (2-9).

Owen Ford finished with five saves for HB while Finnegan Daly made seven stops for Souhegan.
