The Pinkerton Academy girls lacrosse team overcame a slow start to open the season with a 17-4 win over Nashua North on Monday at Stellos Stadium in Nashua.
The Pinkerton Academy girls lacrosse team overcame a slow start to open the season with a 17-4 win over Nashua North on Monday at Stellos Stadium in Nashua.
Zoe Howe led the Astros (1-0) with four goals while Lauren Lisauskas added three goals and two assists and Lilly Auger had three goals and a helper.
Abby Jowett also had two goals and an assist and Madison Daziel scored twice for Pinkerton, which led 4-3 with about 10 minutes left in the first half. The Astros scored three quick goals to end the half and then opened the second half with nine straight goals.
Kiley Davis (assist), Hailey Peredna and Caitlin Seleny also had a goal apiece while Dani Martineau and Lauren Sweeney combined to make seven saves.
North (0-1) got two goals from Campbell Haller while Kaylee Hubbard had a goal and an assist and Theresa Ellison also had a goal.
