Around the Granite State: Pinkerton boys tennis sweeps Concord
Here are results from Monday's high school sports action.
Arav Mahajan and Mason Treadwell both won their singles matches and then teamed up for a doubles win as the Pinkerton Academy boys tennis teams got a 9-0 win Monday over Concord.
Mahajan won 8-4 over Concord's Martin Penningen in the No. 1 singles match while Treadwell was an 8-1 winner over Sam Lewis at No. 3. The duo teamed up for an 8-1 win at No. 1 doubles.
Jack Welch won 8-2 at No. 2 singles over John Kleiner and Killian Mahan took the No. 4 match 8-4 against Keegan Wade. Michael Saab also won 8-4 over Eli Paddleford at No. 5, as did Parker Kingsley over Bennett Cyr at No. 6.
Welch and Saab also combined to win at No. 2 doubles (8-2) while Mahan and Kingsley got the win at No. 3 (8-3).
Boys Volleyball
Goffstown 3, Hollis Brookline 0
The Cavaliers came up short on the road agains the Grizzlies, falling by scores of 25-11, 25-18 and 25-6.
Jacob Toupin had five kills and Jameson Evelyn had three kills for HB while Ben LeClerc added two kills.
