Around the Granite State: Pinkerton boys lacrosse rockets past Windham (video)

Hunter Drouin scored five goals to lead the Pinkerton Academy boys lacrosse team to a 17-4 win over Windham on Saturday.

Riley Spellman added three goals and Ryan Lynch had two goals and an assist for the Astros (10-4, No. 3 in the NHHSS Coaches Poll). Declan Turner and Mason Barbone added a goal and an assist each.

Joey Gallo, Kyle Zirn, Michael Uber, Evan Samiotes and Liam Prescott also scored while Cameron Leeds had an assist. Curtis Michaud (two saves) and Tyler LeBlanc (one) split time in goal and Cole Frank was 22 of 22 on faceoffs.

Windham (9-6, ARV) got two goals from Nate Levine while Matt O'Connor and Sawyer Hall also scored.

Salem 12, Goffstown 11 (OT)

Spencer Deane scored the game-tying goal in regulation and the game-winner in overtime to lift the Blue Devils to a win over the Grizzlies on Saturday.

Winnacunnet 6, Portsmouth 5

The Warriors handed the Clippers their first loss of the season on Thursday.

Winnacunnet (11-2, No. 9) got two goals from Ben Merrimack and Carter Renaud added 15 saves. Portsmouth (13-1, No. 5) got two goals from Zach Amend and Skyler Mikalietes had 11 saves.

Hollis Brookline 16, Milford 1

The Cavaliers (10-1, No. 10) picked up another win against the Spartans on Thursday.

Joe O'Reilly led the way with five goals and five assists and Hunter Hudzik added three goals and three assists. Tommy Anderson and Jake Roy (assist) had three goals apiece while Ethan Bender had a goal and three assists.

Garrett Sturges also scored and Justin Colby had three assists. Andrew Torgersen and Jaiden Baringer had an assists each. Scott Walsh made six saves in the win.

Girls Lacrosse

Timberlane 11, Alvirne 3

The Owls picked up the win over the Broncos on Thursday, getting two goals apiece from Kendall Morrill, Avery Bowman, Maddie Pertingail and Monica Bagrowicz.

Concord 13, Merrimack 6

The Crimson Tide picked up a win Saturday over the Tomahawks behind a nine-goal performance from Mary Martinson.

Kate McKinnon added two goals and an assist while Maria Armaganian had a goal and two assists. Grace Leonard also scored while Greta Norton had two assist and Sofia Payne had one.

Teylor Green made seven saves while Colette Brochu, Sophia Branch, Lily Savoy and Danielle Lemay played well defensively.
