The Nashua High School South field hockey team scored twice in the second half Monday to knock off Nashua North 2-0.
NASHUA - The Nashua High School South field hockey team scored twice in the second half Monday to knock off Nashua North 2-0.
It was the first win of the season for the Panthers (1-7), who got goals from Erin Flaherty and Pari Parikh. Lizzie DeRusha and Krista Reid each added an assist for South.
Keene 2, Timberlane 0
The Blackbirds (4-4) evened out their record with a road win over the Owls.
Lindsay Marshall and Tessa Pearson each had a goal for Keene and Katie Harrington had an assist. Trinity Williamson made eight saves in goal.
No. 2 Windham 2, Salem 0
Sophia Ponzini scored twice in the second half to lift the Jaguars (8-0-1) to a win over the Blue Devils.
Ella Reeners added an assist and Annie Mitchell stopped the only shot she faced for the win. Lilly O'Loughlin, Kenzie Suech and Ava Sanchez all played well for Windham.
Lyndsay Troisi played well in goal for Salem.
No. 5 Winnacunnet 5, Pinkerton 1 (Friday)
Abby Wilber had two goals and an assist to lead the Warriors (6-1) past the Astros (4-3).
Grace Vander Els also scored twice for Winnacunnet while Jen Frost added a goal and Hayden Adams had an assist. Amber Morgado had two saves in net.
Natalie Paradzick had the lone goal for Pinkerton with Izzy Murphy and Ava Bennett getting assists. Elise LeBlanc made seven saves.
Girls Volleyball
Hollis Brookline 3, Salem 0
The Cavaliers (6-1) picked up another win, going on the road to sweep the Blue Devils (1-6). Scores were 25-13, 25-19 and 25-14.
Kate Berrigan had five kills, three aces and two blocks for HB while Annette Schlunk had six kills. Anneli DiVirgilio added five aces and Gwynn Thomas had 16 assists while Maia Schneider recorded eight digs.
Moultonborough 3, Portsmouth Christian 1
The Eagles fell to 3-2 on the season following the home loss to the Panthers. Scores were 25-14, 22-25, 25-17 and 25-21.
Liahna Messier had 14 kills and 11 digs for PCA and Kailey Holt recorded 20 assists and five aces. Emily Esters chipped in with four aces and 14 digs while Madelyn Hardy had six kills and two blocks.
