Around the Granite State: Monday's Roundup (video)

Hannah McCarthy scored six goals, including the 343rd of her high school career, to help lead the Bedford High School girls lacrosse team to a 15-9 win over Portsmouth on Monday.

The goal total for McCarthy sets a state record, breaking the mark of 342 set by Drew Shapiro, who also played for Bedford, in 2014. Sydney Lynch added four goals for the Bulldogs (14-1) while Mackenzie MacEachern and Riley Chou added two apiece.

Chamberlaine Bell also had a goal and two assists and Julian Bell had three helpers while Hanna Paradis made 10 saves.

Portsmouth (14-2) got three goals from Julia Roelofs while Anna Smith had two goals and Corinne Lamond, Ellie Seefried, Sallie Squire and Mia Smith had a goal apiece. Grace Jackson made eight saves for the Clippers.

Pinkerton 18, Andover 8

The Astros broke open a close game with 11 goals in the second half to improve to 15-1 on the year.

Lauren Lisauskas led the way for Pinkerton with five goals and an assist while Kiley Davis had three goals and three assists. Zoe Howe also had three goals while Madison Daziel had two goals and three assists.

Lilly Auger and Abby Jowett each had two goals and Hailey Peredna had a goal and an assist. Dani Martineau had seven saves and Lauren Sweeney had four.

Derryfield 17, Belmont 3

Olivia Strong had a big day, with five goals and an assist, as the Cougars (10-3) snapped a two-game slide.

Lucy Licata also had four goals and a helper while Sydney Socha recorded three goals and Sophie Brandy had two goals and two assists. Charlotte Rohlfs and Leah Hoey also had a goal apiece.

Shawna Lesmerises made nine saves while Julia Tilton, Jess Carr, Lauren MacLean, Emmy Plage and Suha Elsheikh played well defensively.

Boys Lacrosse

Nashua South 15, Nashua North 2

Jaden Murphy had a big day for the Panthers (9-8), scoring five goals and picking up an assist.

Jordan Bodwell added three goals while Drew Fleury and Garrett Fleury had two goals and an assist apiece. Joe Bodi and Nate Campbell recorded a goal and a helper each while Zach Gauthier also scored.

David Barnett and Brendon Frost each added an assist while Josh Taylor and Ben Levine played well. Dominic Pasquale made eight saves for South and Ethan Johnson had three.

John Stark 15, Kennett 4

The Generals improved to 6-5 on the year with the win over the Eagles.

Peyton Marden led the way with six goals and four assists while Cam Fortin had five goals and a helper. Kayden Easter chipped in with two goals while Owen Jones had a goal and an assist and Aiden Moser also scored.

Boys Volleyball

Hollis Brookline 3, Pinkerton 0

The Cavaliers swept the Astros by scores of 25-22, 25-15 and 25-11.

Michael Moscatelli led HB (9-4) with 13 kills and two aces and Sander Wimmer added 11 kills and four aces. Joshua Ide had 32 assists and Matt Wojick had three aces and 2.5 blocks.
