Around the Granite State: Monday's Roundup
Jaden Murphy scored six goals and had two assists to lead the Nashua High School South boys lacrosse team to a 20-5 win over Alvirne on Monday.
Griffin Johnson added three goals and four assists and Connor Rowsell also had three goals and added a helper. Drew Fleury had two goals and two assists and Sam Fletcher had two goals and one assist.
Aidan Walsh, Rhett Medling, Ben Kalman and Ryan Salemi added a goal apiece. Walsh was also 20 for 21 on faceoffs and Ethan Johnson made five saves.
Girls Lacrosse
Londonderry 12, Exeter 10
The Lancers pulled out a win over the Blue Hawks on Saturday.
Caroline Leone led the way for Londonderry (3-2) with four goals and Jenna Stowell and Emily Cowette added two goals apiece. Riley Walter made seven saves in the second half.
Derryfield 12, Goffstown 7
The Cougars won their home-opener, beating the Grizzlies on Friday.
Lucy Licata led the way for Derryfield (3-0) with eight goals and three draw controls. Lily Handwerk, Abbey Carr, Lilly Losey and Casey Benson (three draw controls, two caused turnovers) also had a goal apiece.
Shawna Lesmerises made four saves and Lauren MacLean had two draw controls, two caused turnovers and an interception. Lexie Petron and Christine Nadeau also played well defensively.
