Around the Granite State: Monday's Roundup

Kaitlyn West scored five goals Monday to help lead the Nashua High School South field hockey team to a 5-0 win over Nashua North.

Audra Robinson picked up two assists for the Panthers while Christina Menke and Maddie Betthiuame added an assist apiece. Courtney Tello had one save in goal.

South recognized its seniors - Robinson, Tello, Menke and Amy Marison - before the game. The teams will play again on Wednesday, when the Titans will hold their senior night.

Kennett 2, Plymouth 1

The Bobcats got their first goal of the season, but came up short against the Eagles to fall to 0-2 on the year.

Kennett took a two-goal lead in the first half, but Plymouth cut it in half in the second when Audrey Fields scored off a pass from Emma Webster. Ashley Bannon made 12 saves for the Bobcats while Gwen Merrifield also played well.

The Bobcats recognized their seniors before the game, including Webster, Merrifield, Holly Philips, Holly Hoyt and Ellen Ryan. The teams will play again on Wednesday at Kennett.
