Around the Granite State: Monday's Roundup
The Derryfield School boys lacrosse team improved to 10-0 on the season with a 16-1 win over Oyster River on Monday.
Jon MacLean led the way for the Cougars with five goals and two assists and Gunnar Senatore had three goals and Matt Weimer had two goals and two assists. Henry Howe and John Anderson had a goal and two assists apiece.
Nathan Dudley had two goals and Alex Neville added a goal and an assist while Cole Giersch also scored. Antonio Imbriano, Will Mancini and Connor O'Brien recorded an assist each.
Hayden Marshall had a goal for the Bobcats.
Coe-Brown 15, Spaulding 3
The Bears (2-4) picked up their second win of the year, beating the Raiders on the road.
Jack Cinquegrano had five goals and two assists to lead Coe-Brown while Kyle Thorne and Aaron Bono had three goals and an assist each. Dakota West also had two goals and three assists and Cal Welch and Wells Lambert had a goal apiece.
Dominic Cronshaw, Ryan Holland and Dylan White played well defensively.
Goffstown 9, Windham 6
Nick Mason scored six goals to help lead the Grizzlies (6-4) to the win over the Jaguars.
Griffin Cook added two goals and two assists for Goffstown while Eric Dubois had a goal and Matt Fleming had an assist. Grady Chretien made 10 saves while Andrew McCarthy, Alex McCarthy and John Erwin combined to win 14 of 18 faceoffs.
Merrimack 9, John Stark 8 (OT)
Kayden Easter had three goals and an assist, but it wasn't enough for the Generals (3-4).
Peyton Marden had a goal and two assists while John Stark also got a goal each from Aiden Moser, Cam Fortin, Owen Jones and Logan Beliveau. Ethan Konrad made 18 saves.
Dover 9, Nashua South 5
The Panthers (6-4, No. 7 in the NHHSS Coaches Poll) fell on the road to the Green Wave, despite getting 16 saves from Dominic Pasquale.
Joe Bodi had a goal and an assist for South and Drew Fleury also had two goals. Nate Campbell added a goal and Jaden Murphy and Connor Rowsell had an assist each.
Milford 10, Gilford 9
The Spartans snapped a three-game losing streak with a win over the Eagles.
Riley O'Shaughnessy led the way for Milford with three goals and Matt Hannon had a goal and four assists.
Ryan Cavanaugh scored his first varsity goal and had an assist while Zackary Spirito, Corey Girouard, Logan Barnhill, Anthony Viola and Tyler Hamlin (assist) also had a goal apiece. Alex Karski also had an assist.
Kyle Forsley made 13 saves while Alex Taylor, Samson Hodges and Ryan Seale played well defensively.
Girls Lacrosse
St. Thomas 13, Laconia 10
The Saints (6-1) picked up their sixth win in a row by beating the Sachems in Division III action.
Kylie Younglaus led St. Thomas with four goals and Haley Vienneau added three goals. Sarah Leahy had 10 draw controls.
Nashua South 15, Dover 5
Kirsten McIntire scored seven goals to help lead the Panthers (8-3) to a win over the Green Wave.
Liz Harrington also had two goals and an assist for South and Olivia Johnson and Kiley Dawe had a goal and two assists each. Michele Ramirez and Taylor Anger had a goal and a helper each while Kaitlyn West and Emily Colburn added a goal apiece.
Rileigh Bunton made five saves and Alyssa Johnson also had a save while Emma Pucillo played well defensively.
Manchester Central 22, Timberlane 11
Katelyn Parker had six goals, including the 100th of her career, and added five assists to lead the Little Green (4-3) to their third win in a row.
Ryleigh Cavanaugh also had six goals and three assists for Central and Meghan Harris added six goals of her own. Emma Dudley had two goals and an assist while Emily Ahern had a goal and two assists and Olivia McCambly had a goal and an assist. Lauren Infantine added an assist.
Kasey Kfoury made nine saves while Sophia Leonard, Can Casey, Ava Demers, Summer Descoteaux, Julia Kamen and Hannah Schneiderman played well.
Merrimack 18, Nashua North 6
The Titans (4-7) dropped their second in a row and second game against the Tomahawks this season.
Kaylee Hubbard finished with three goals to lead the Titans while Julia Gagnon, Parker Botsch and Campbell Haller added a goal each. Samantha Canto made six saves.
