Around the Granite State: Keene field hockey knocks off Londonderry

The Keene High School field hockey team got two goals and an assist from Alex Contaldi in a 6-4 win Wednesday over Londonderry.

Kaylyn Trubiano and Sofia Miller also had two goals each and Megan Goodwin recorded two assists. Eliza Ballaro and Katie Harrington each added an assist.

Avery Allarie came up with two goal-saving defensive plays and goalie  Bella Venezia made eight saves for the Blackbirds (2-1).

Tara Wright had two goals for Londonderry (0-1-1) and Jordan Furlong had two assists. Meghan Daileanes had a goal and an assist and Ashleigh Leone also scored while Kenzie Urquhart had an assist.

Nashua South 1, Manchester Memorial 1

The Panthers had two goals waved off during regulation before Kaitlyn West tipped in a pass from Karina O'Donnell.

South (0-0-2) got six saves from Kaitlyn Tello and Lizzie DeRusha played outstanding defensively.

Pelham 3, Milford 2

The Spartans dropped their season opener Tuesday on the road against the Pythons.

Nora Breton had two goals for Milford while Allison Demons had an assist. Heather Whittier made 15 saves for the Spartans.

Concord 2, Dover 0

Andie Reed had a goal and an assist to help the Crimson Tide pick up their first win of the year.

Isabelle Sawyer also scored for Concord and Nadia Hanna added an assist.

Bishop Guertin 2, Manchester Central-West 0

Taylor Guibord scored twice, each time off an assist from Rylee Bouvier, and the Cardinals improved to 2-0-1 on the season.
