Around the Granite State: Hollis Brookline girls volleyball sweeps Winnacunnet

Annette Schlunk finished with 15 kills to help lead the Hollis Brookline High School girls volleyball team to a 3-0 win over Winnacunnet on Monday. Scores were 25-19, 25-18 and 25-10.

Meaghan Coutu added five kills and three aces and Lydia Daskalos had three kills and three aces. Emily Sartell recorded five aces and Anneli DiVirgilio had three aces. Maggie Noble chipped in with three kills.

HB (7-1) returns home to host Spaulding on Wednesday.

Epping 3, Sunapee 0

The Blue Devils improved to 7-2 on the year with the win over the Lakers on Monday. Scores were 25-22, 25-18 and 27-25.

Kate Chapman led Epping with three aces, five kills, six digs and two blocks. Leah Hackett added five aces, four kills and nine digs and Pacy Morgado recorded three aces, three kills, 12 assists and three digs.

Field Hockey

John Stark 4, Plymouth 1

Gracie Bolduc had two goals to lead the Generals to the win Monday over the Bobcats.

Adie Bolduc added a goal and an assist and Bella Pelletier also scored as John Stark improved to 7-1. Linsey Hagman and Natalie Smith also had assists while Reagan Fischer and Jackie O'Donnell played well defensively.

Exeter 5, Pinkerton 2

The Blue Hawks scored twice in the third quarter Monday to break open a close game and held on for a win over the Astros.

Mackenzie Babine had three goals for Exeter (11-0) while Addy McNeil and Katelyn Varney also scored and Maisie Veader added an assist. Reyton King made three saves

Sage Wing and Jaelyn Crossman each had a goal and an assist for Pinkerton (3-5-3). Elise LeBlanc made 19 saves and Lark Johnson also played well.

Pinkerton also played to a 1-1 tie against Londonderry on Saturday. Peyton Knowlton scored off an assist from Wing with 1:12 left in the game to send it to overtime. Natalie Paradzick and Abby Shawley played well for the Astros.

Windham 5, Nashua South 0

Sophia Ponzini scored two goals and the Jaguars rolled to a shutout win over the Panthers on Monday.

Ava Sanchez and Amu Lanouette had goal and two assists each and Liv Rondeau recorded an assist for Windham. South got 15 saves from goalie Kaitlyn Tello.

South also got the program's first win over Timberlane on Saturday in a 1-0 victory. Maren Lowell scored off an assist from Kaitlyn West to give the Panthers the win.

Olivia Laro, Mogan Preston and Soleil Dubois also played well and Tello made four saves.
