Around the Granite State: Friday's Roundup
The Nashua High School North girls lacrosse team picked up its first win of the year, beating Keene-Monadnock 12-10 on Friday.
Campbell Haller led the Titans with four goals and Julia Gagnon added three. Kaylee Hubbard chipped in with two goals while Hannah Fortune, Lily Brooks and Kiley O'Brien had a goal apiece.
Hollis Brookline 19, Merrimack Valley 0
The Cavaliers picked up their third win in as many days behind four goals and five assists from Kelsey Sweeney.
Paisley Broadhurts added three goals and Morgan Broadhurst and Sydney Speir had two goals apiece. Abbey Magnuszewski (assist), Tasha White (assist), Rachel Cerato, Nicole Heiter, Josie Farwell, Dana Ulrich, Sydney Reichard and Meghan Veino each had a goal for HB (4-0).
Caroline Smith added two assists for the Cavs while Olivia Valentine and Meghan Flannery combined for the shutout in goal.
Souhegan 18, Merrimack 10
The Sabers improved to 4-0 on the year Friday thanks to a big offensive day from Abby Hawkes, who had five goals, and Clare Woodford, who added four.
Savannah Behn also recorded three goals and three assists while Taylor Clark had two goals and two assists and Margot Manz also scored twice. Hannah Roe had a goal and an assist while O'Neill Galinson had a goal and MacKenzie Cretsinger and Sarah Geary had an assist each.
Ellie Boucher, Amber Brewster and McKenzie Hutchinson each had two goals and an assist for the Tomahawks (2-2). Megan Dinsmore, Lexi Girauld, Julie Martin and Catelyn Moran also had a goal apiece.
Alex LaBrosse finished with seven saves for Souhegan and Bellla Beaton had 12 saves for Merrimack.
Nashua South 18, Salem 2
Sarah Signorello had five goals and an assist as the Panthers went to 2-2 on the season with the win over the Blue Devils on Friday.
Kirsten McIntire (three assists), Olivia Johnson (two assists) and Liz Harrington (one assist) also had three goals apiece while Michelle Ramirez, Taylor Anger, Soleil Dubois and Kaitlyn West each added a goal.
Abbey Rowe and Rileigh Bunton split time in goal and combined for two saves.
Derryfield 18, Gilford 1
The Cougars picked up their third win on Friday behind eight goals and two assists from Lucy Licata.
Olivia Strong added six goals and six assists while Eva Petron had two goals and Maggie Cissel had a goal and an assist. Sophie Brandt chipped in with four assists.
Shawna Lesmerises made eight saves while Jess Carr, Lauren MacLean, Julia Tilton and Leah Hoey played well defensively.
Boys Lacrosse
Nashua South 12, Salem 9
The Panthers took a 9-3 lead in the first half and held on for a win over the Blue Devils on Friday.
Drew Fleury led South (2-2) with four goals while Jordan Bodwell had two goals and two assists and Joe Buturla had two goals and an assist. Connor Rowsell also had two goals while Jaden Murphy and Joe Bodi added a goal apiece.
Nate Campbell chipped in with an assist while Dominic Pasquale made 11 saves and Jaiden Dupont won 15 of 19 faceoffs.
Mike Ference led Salem with four goals and four assists and Josh Ozana made five saves.
Winnacunnet 10, Goffstown 5
The Warriors got out to a 5-0 lead in the first quarter and picked up their first win of the season Friday.
Jack Ellis led Winnacunnet (1-3) with five goals and an assist and Nick Merrick had two goals and a helper. Dan Ciacalone recorded four assists while Tyler Hoar (assist), Ben Chase and Josh Chase also had a goal apiece.
Nick Mason scored all five goals for the Grizzlies (2-3) while Griffin Cook had two assists and Eric Lacerte, John Erwin and Konnaugh Donovan had an assist apiece.
Carter Renaud made 10 saves for the Warriors while Grady Chretien had nine stops for Goffstown.
Inter-Lakes/Moultonborough 13, Milford 4
The Spartans fell on the road Friday against the Lakers.
Matt Hannon led the way with three goals and Anthony Viola had a goal and an assist. Nate Johnson also recorded an assist while Kyle Forsley made 13 saves. Samson Hodges played we defensively for Milford (1-3).
Windham 11, John Stark 5
The Generals were shorthanded against the Jaguars on Friday in a Division II loss.
Kayden Easter had three goals and two assists for John Stark while Cam Fortin had a goal and two assists. Peyton Marden added a goal and an assist while Ethan Konrad made 20 saves.
