Around the Granite State: Friday's Roundup

Three players rushed for over a hundred yards for the Nashua High School North football team, as the Titans rolled to a 36-7 win Friday night over Londonderry.

Curtis Harris-Lopez led the way with 147 yards and three touchdowns on the ground for North (3-0), which had 455 yards rushing as a team. Jayden Espinal added 126 yards and a touchdown and Isaac Smith added 103 yards rushing, while Devin Bracetty added a 32-yard touchdown run.

Londonderry (3-2) had 229 yards of offense, as Dylan McEachern was 6 of 20 passing for 101 yards with a touchdown and an interception, with the touchdown coming on a 44-yard reception by Zach Fawcett.

After a scoreless first quarter, North scored three times in the second, taking a 20-0 lead into halftime, but Londonderry recovered an onside kick to open the second half and the Lancers got on the board on Fawcett's touchdown.

Londonderry looked poised to make it a one-score game, but on third-and-goal from the North 5, McEachern fumbled the snap and Max Ackerman recovered for North. Two plays later, Harris-Lopez went 80 yards for a touchdown.

Winnacunnet 21, Spaulding 6

The Warriors trailed for most of the game before scoring three times in the final seven minutes to beat the Red Raiders (2-2).

Matt Alkire had all of his 86 yards rushing and two touchdowns in the fourth quarter while Tucker McCann also had a score for Winnacunnet (4-1).

Spaulding's touchdown came on a 64-yard reception by Colby Averill.

Exeter 35, Portsmouth-Oyster River 6

The Blue Hawks picked up a win in their Division I play-in game, beating the ClipperCats at home Friday night.

Ully Ellis had 105 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries for Exeter (3-2) while Spencer Clark also scored twice and had two interceptions on defense.

Nashua South 41, Bedford 7

The Panthers (2-2) picked up a big win on the road to finish off the regular season, as South's defense held the Bulldogs (3-2) to just 67 yards.

Jason Compoh had 108 yards rushing and two touchdowns on 18 carries while Chris Keefe added 71 yards and two touchdowns on the ground and was 6 of 9 passing for 68 yards.

Tyler Armeen caught five passes for 63 yards and had 43 yards and a touchdown rushing. As a team, the Panthers rushed for 323 yards.

Girls Volleyball

Bedford 3, Bishop Guertin 0

The Bulldogs picked up a sweep of the Cardinals. Scores were 25-18, 25-9 and 25-20.

Emma Charron had 13 digs for Bishop Guertin while Meghan Stack had four kills. Maddy Keating added three kills and five digs and Caroline Sullivan had six assists.

Portsmouth Christian 3, Epping 0

The Blue Devils fell on the road to the Eagles. Scores were 25-15, 25-23 and 25-19.

Gracie Re had eight kills, one ace and six digs for Epping while Mackenzie McAniff had eight digs and nine assists. Kate Chapman had six kills, one ace and one dig.

PCA got six kills and five aces from Lindsey Hatfield and Joey Skubisz had six kills and three blocks. Bella Ouellette recorded 21 assists while Josie Hewitt and Lauren Vincent (two aces) also had six kills apiece.

Maddy Kniphfer had nine digs and Liahna Messier added seven digs.

Bedford 3, Hollis Brookline 1

After dropping the first set Thursday, the Bulldogs came back to win three straight against the Cavaliers. Scores were 20-25, 25-23, 25-20 and 25-8.

Hanna Close had 11 kills and Emily Dreyer had 10 kills and two aces to lead HB (6-2). Cheyenne Colbert recorded five kills and Sophie Jordan had 24 assists while Jess Cooper had 14 digs.

Field Hockey

Mascoma Valley 2, Kearsarge 1 (OT)

Brianna Withington scored in regulation and the Royals advanced by winning on penalty strokes to advance to the Division III quarterfinals.

Goalie Emilie Conrad had a big game and came up huge in the extra time.

John Stark 3, Bow 1

The Generals beat the Falcons on Thursday for the program's first playoff win and a spot in the Division II quarterfinals.

Aubrey Fischer scored two goals, including the game-winner on a penalty stroke in the third quarter. Delaney Forrestall added a goal and an assist for John Stark and Kacie Weston also had an assist.

Sydnee Pelletier made 10 saves while Jackie I'Donnell, Reagan Fischer and Lindsey Hagman played well defensively. Grace Bolduc also played well in the midfield.

Boys Soccer

Souhegan 2, Sanborn 0

The Sabers (2-4-1) picked up their second win of the year with a shutout of the Indians.

Alex Lin and Miles Drum each had a goal while Ethan Ramm and Sebastian Parker-Christou had an assist apiece. Jake Morrisette made two saves for Souhegan while Nate Talarico had 11 saves for Sanborn (3-7).
