Solomon Sanchez ran for two touchdowns and Joe Mikol threw for another Friday night as the Bedford High School football team beat Londonderry 26-7.

The Bulldogs' win snapped a 14-game winning streak, dating back to last year, for the Lancers, who turned the ball over five times and were penalized 10 times for 74 yards.

Mikol was 17 of 29 passing for 149 yards and a touchdown and he also kicked field goals of 20 and 34 yards to help Bedford (2-1) take a 20-0 lead in the first half. Sanchez had 15 yards rushing to go with his two scores and also caught seven passes for 70 yards and Dylan Kumbani had six catches for 47 yards and a touchdown.

Dylan McEachern led Londonderry (2-1) with 71 yards rushing on 12 carries and was 12 of 25 for 121 yards with three interceptions. Riley Boles had the lone touchdown for the Lancers, scoring on a 1-yard run in the final minute of the first half.

Field Hockey

Concord 2, Goffstown 0

Jordan Cromwell and Emma Beaujouan each had a goal to lead the Crimson Tide to the win over Goffstown.

Maria Armaganian assisted on both goals and Grace Leonard came up with a big defensive play late, helping to set up Beaujouan's goal in the final two minutes.

John Stark 2, Hopkinton 1

Meg Girardet's goal in the third quarter proved to be the game-winner, as the Generals knocked off the Hawks.

Linsey Hagman assisted on the winning goal, while Bella Pelletier also scored for John Stark (5-1) and Kacie Weston had an assist. Grace Bolduc played a strong game in the midfield while Sydnee Pelletier made 18 saves.

Girls Volleyball

Hollis Brookline 3, Alvirne 2

The Cavaliers came back from a 2-1 deficit to beat the Broncos. Game scores were 25-12, 22-25, 22-25, 25-15 and 15-7.

Meaghan Coutu had 15 kills and four aces for HB (5-0) while Hanna Close added 11 kills, 11 digs and five aces. Sophie Jordan had 28 assists.

Emily Sartell recorded five aces while Lydia Daskalos had three blocks and Jess Cooper had 20 digs.

Portsmouth Christian 3, Nute 1

The Eagles improved to 3-3 on the year. Game scores were 22-25, 25-22, 25-7 and 25-23.

Lindsey Hatfield had 10 kills, seven aces and five digs for PCA while Joey Skubisz had six kills and six aces and Bella Ouellette had 17 assists and three aces.

Maddy Kniphfer and Liahna Messier had nine digs apiece.
