Around the Granite State: Friday's Roundup

Courtney Shay scored twice in the first half and the Londonderry High School field hockey team knocked off Exeter 4-2 in Division I action on Friday.

Grace Chicko and Emily Cowette also scored in the second half for the Lancers (2-0) while Kayla Miles had two assists. Lauren Doherty and Tara Wright also picked up assists and Clara Gorman made eight saves.

Exeter (0-2) got two goals from Maddie Gilmartin while Audrey Farrah and Alida Oak had an assist apiece. Clara Gorman made eight saves for the Blue Hawks.

Concord 1, Dover 0

The Crimson Tide picked up their second shutout win of the season, beating the Green Wave in D1 action.

Kaitlyn McKinnon scored the game's lone goal, scoring off an assist Andie Reed. Maria Armaganian played well in the midfield for Concord (2-0).

Jeannine Turgeon played well for Dover.

Plymouth 1, Bow 0 (OT)

Holly Hoyt scored the game-winning goal 11 minutes into overtime to lift the Bobcats past the Falcons in a D2 contest.

Katie Lambert assisted on the goal while Holly Phillips, Gabby Karntakosol and Hannah Olmstead played well, as did goalie Molly Edmark.

Girls Volleyball

Hollis Brookline 3, Dover 1

The Cavaliers opened the season with a win over the Green Wave, with game scores of 25-23, 16-25, 25-22 and 25-21.

Kaleigh Whalen led HB with 17 kills and Maren Anderson added 12 kills while Angelina Leonard had 42 assists and five aces. Sammie Sheppard had 30 digs and Sydney Powers recorded 8.5 blocks.

Boys Soccer

Bow 3, Souhegan 2

The Falcons picked up a win over the Sabers with all the scoring coming in the second half.

Matt Selleck gave Bow the lead in the 48th minute, scoring off a penalty kick, but Mike Estabrook tied it three minutes later on a penalty kick of his own. Souhegan went up 2-1 in the 56th minute as Ethan Ramm converted a pass from Colin Burke.

But Bow's Daniel Leuchtenberger scored twice, giving the Falcons the lead for good in the 73rd minute.
