Around the Granite State: Exeter boys lacrosse gets big win over Souhegan
Hayden Lechner had four goals and two assists and the Exeter High School boys lacrosse team rolled to a 16-2 win over Souhegan on Tuesday.
Spencer Clark added three goals and two assists and Connor Holly also had three goals for the Blue Hawks (3-0). Jackson Hale recorded two goals and Gavin Lechner had a goal and four assists.
Will Barry (assist), Gavin Kostandin and Gabe Albert added a goal apiece while Bryce Sturtevant had an assist. Ryan Tatman had five saves and Ethan Bernich made four.
Souhegan (1-2) got goals from Alex Karpawhich and Tony Garrant.
Coe-Brown 11, Merrimack Valley 5
The Bears got goals from five different players in picking up a win over the Pride.
David Lee led the way with four goals and an assist while Landon Rafael and Wells Lambert had two goals and two assists each. Aaron Bono had a goal and two assists and Drew Clinch also scored twice.
James Thomas made 13 saves for Coe-Brown while Aidan Lindsey, Jack Whitcher, Matt LeBrecque and DJ Brady played well defensively.
Winnacunnet 9, Windham 8 (OT)
The Jaguars dropped to 0-3 on the season while the Warriors picked up their second straight overtime win.
Drew Denton had three goals and Sawyer Hall had two goals and three assists for Windham, which trailed 7-6 at the end of three quarters before tying it at 8 in the fourth.
Nate Levine added two goals and two assists for the Jaguars and Matt O'Connor also scored.
Manchester Memorial-Central 7, Alvirne 4
The Crusaders got five goals and an assist from Kenny McIntyre in their first win of the season.
Braden Hafeman added two goals and three assists and Sebastian Botelho made 20 saves on 24 shots.
Girls Lacrosse
Alvirne 8, Manchester Memorial-West 6
The Broncos picked up the win over the Crusaders behind a strong performance from Zaira O'Leary, who made nine saves in goal.
Hailey Ramalhinho and Halle Miller each had three goals for Alvirne and Madison Nicolosi had two goals.
John Stark 12, Bishop Brady 11
The Generals picked up a win over the Giants in a back-and-forth game.
Emma Dobbins had three goals and two assists for John Stark while Elizabeth Hatfield added three goals and Kaylee Montgomery had two goals and an assist.
Paige Hamel, Alana Sevigny and Riley Davis added a goal and an assist each while Andra Dagenais had two assists.
Nashua South 17, Keene-Monadnock 1
Olivia Johnson had four goals and two assists and Ella Benzekri also had four goals to lead the Panthers to the win.
Soleil Dubois had three goals and an assist and Kaitlyn West and Bella Walsh each had two goals and two assists. Kylie Dawe, Maya Rioux and Bailey Carroll had a goal apiece.
Dubois, Benzekri and Dawe combined for 12 draw controls while Audrey Mullaney had five saves and Aryanna Murray played well defensively.
Hollis Brookline 16, Pelham 4
Alyssa Hill scored two goals and had three assists to help the Cavaliers improve to 3-0 on the season.
Abbey Magnuszewski added three goals and an assist while Nicole Heiter had two goals and an assist and Abbie Orgren and Bella Haytayan had two goals apiece.
Cailean Roy, Brooke Allanach, Kaitlyn Castriota and Hallie Bardani each had a goal and an assist while Morgan Broadhurst had two assists. Ellie Maxwell added a goal and was strong on draw controls.
Paige Magnuszewski, Sammy Atlas, Mack Jusczak and Daniella Allanach played well defensively in front of goalies Libby Rutledge and Hallie Bardani.
