# Around the Granite State: Dover field hockey opens with win

NASHUA - Hannah Calhoun had three goals and an assist Thursday to lead the Dover High School field hockey team to an 11-0 win over Nashua North.

Molly Angers added two goals and an assist for the Green Wave (1-0, No. 8 in the New Hampshire Orthopaedic Center/NHHSSports Coaches Poll) while Mya Kageleiry and Ella Deroy added a goal and an assist apiece. 

Kate Daley, Lauren Lagasse, Kate Zbikowski and Riely Newburg also had a goal apiece for Dover.

Madeyln Dratch, Jordin Lopez and Sophia Wine played well for the Titans (0-1). 

**No. 1 Pinkerton 3, No. 9 Bishop Guertin 2**

Meaghan Shea scored twice, including the game-winner early in the third quarter, and the Astros held on to beat the Cardinals.

Gwen Lee also scored while Molly Kuncik finished with seven saves to help Pinkerton hang on late for the win. 

Devyn Amico and Ava Brennan each had a goal for Bishop Guertin, with both goals coming in the third to cut the lead to one. Addison Wilson recorded an assist and Emma Smith finished with five saves.

**Hopkinton 6, Mascoma Valley 1**

Aurelia Salce scored three goals to lead the Hawks to a season-opening win over the Royals.

Autumn Meier added a goal and two assists for Hopkinton while Gigi Upton and Alyson Doffin each scored a goal. Sadie Pelletier and Carlie Leino also played well in the win. 

**Stevens 2, Sanborn 0 (game suspended)**

The Cardinals had a two-goal lead with just over nine minutes left in the second quarter when the game was stopped due to thunderstorms in the area.
