Around the Granite State: Dover boys lacrosse helps playoff hopes with win over Nashua North (video)

NASHUA - Micah Krick and Tobey Desroches had three goals apiece to help lead the Dover High School boys lacrosse team to a 12-2 win over Nashua North on Friday.

Logan Carter added two goals and two assists while Cooper Ketcham had a goal and three assists and Johnny Rand had two goals and an assist. Riley Joyce scored a goal and added a helper and Ryan Hodge also had an assist while Dom Chalifour made 12 saves, including the 600th of his high school career for the Green Wave (4-10)

Jack Peters and Austin Kaminaris each had a goal for the Titans (5-11), as each team is battling for a playoff spot in Division I. As of Friday's game, the Titans would be the No. 7 seed and the Green Wave would be No. 8.

Souhegan 11, Hillsboro-Deering/John Stark 4

Cole Manning and Ayden McGrath each had three goals to lead the Sabers (8-5) to their eighth win of the year.

AJ Hawkes and Maddux McGrath both scored twice and Zach Bartlett also had a goal while Josh Dupuis played well for Souhegan.

ConVal 7, Pembroke 4

The Cougars (6-6) improved their spot in the D2 standings with a win over the Spartans, getting a goal and two assists from Kelly McMahon.

Noah Stewart added two goals and Caden Robbins had two assists. Colin Pellettieri, Noah Lambert, Eric McGrath and Kiernan King recorded a goal apiece.

Ryan Close also had an assist for ConVal and Nick Squatrito made 15 saves.

Laconia 7, Milford 4

The Spartans fell at home to the Sachems, despite getting a goal and two assists from Chuck Urda.

Kaleb Francoeur also scored twice while Alex Berube had a goal and Landon Briand had an assist. Harris Jones made 14 saves in goal and Jason Daykin played well defensively for Milford.

No. 5 Derryfield 22, Keene-Monadnock 3

Chili Cabot had four goals and five assists to lead the Cougars (13-1) to a win over the Blackbirds on Thursday.

Alex Murray also had four goals to go with three assists while Quinn Silvio had three goal and an assist and Max Fowler had four assists. Brady Doldo (assist), RJ Proulx, Tate Flint and Tad Faulkner each recorded two goals.

Liam Canty had a goal and two assists and Michael Grunbeck and Garrett Lande had a goal apiece. Logan Purvis added an assist and was  15 of 15 on faceoffs and Parker Ledeidz made four saves.

Johnny Griffin led the Blackbirds with a goal and an assist while Mikey Anger and Landon Wilks each had a goal. Owen Hope made three saves.

Girls Lacrosse

No. 1 Bedford 13, No. 4 Nashua South 8

Ella Benzekri had five goals and an assist to lead the Panthers (11-4), but it wasn't enough against the Bulldogs.

Karina O'Donnell, Maren Lowell and Anna Pasquale had a goal apiece for South while Morgan Udzanovich had an assist. Keira Walsh, made eight saves, while Brynn Tefft, Brady Murray, and Abbey Benotti played well defensively.

John Stark/Hillsboro-Deering 17, Keene-Monadnock 13

The General-Cats picked up their fifth win of the season by beating the Blackbirds.

Kaycie Rhodes led the way with seven goals and Riley Davis added five scores.

No. 9 Windham 18, Kingswood 1

The Jaguars got seven goals and an assist from Sophia Ponzini on the way to the win over the Knights.

Darby Madden added two goals and four assists and Emma Kendzulak had four goals and a helper. Maria Killian also had two goals and four assists while Mia Gallinelli scored twice and had an assist.

Sophie Manchester recorded a goal and an assist while Annie Mitchell made five saves and Emilie Webman had two saves.

No. 10 Hanover 11, Hollis Brookline 10 (OT)

The Cavaliers came up short against the Bears in the extra session.

Alyssa Hill led the way with five goals and three assists and Sabrina Hill added three goals and an assist. Paige Mello had a goal, an assist and seven draw controls while Cailean Roy added a goal and three draw controls.

Addy Dougherty made eight saves for HB.
