Around the Granite State: Concord field hockey beats Londonderry in OT (video)

LONDONDERRY - Emma Beaujouan scored the game's only goal in overtime Wednesday and the Concord High School field hockey team defeated Londonderry 1-0.

The Lancers had a penalty corner early in the overtime, but the Crimson Tide defense was able to clear the circle and set up Beaujouan going the other way for a breakaway goal with 8:15 remaining.

Anna Gregg made two saves for Concord (10-5) and the Tide finished with 11 corners, eight of them in the fourth quarter, including two after time had expired.

Kathryn Martin stopped 12 shots for Londonderry (7-9), which had four corners.

No. 2 Windham 8, Nashua South 0

Sophia Ponzini scored two goals and had three assists to help the Jaguars to a win over the Panthers.

Sophie Manchester added two goals and Lily Micciche had a goal and an assist for Windham. Sarah Adamske, Ava Sanchez and Mackenzie Suech also had a goal apiece while Ava Pelletier had an assist and Annie Mitchell played well in goal.

Kaitlyn Tello made 29 saves for South.

Pinkerton 4, Man. Central-West 2

Gianna Rosa scored less than a minute after the game was tied and the Astros clinched a playoff spot with a win over Central-West.

Rosa scored 37 seconds after Harriet Barber tied the game in the fourth quarter and Isabelle Toupin added an insurance goal for Pinkerton. Natalie Paradzick and Jaelyn Grossman also had a goal each while Aili Carney and Izzy Murphy each had an assist.

Elise LeBlanc made nine saves in the win.

Alyssa Bonia also scored for Central-West while Chloe Gilroy made 21 saves.

No. 3 Exeter 6, Keene 2

Despite getting goals from Sofia Miller and Katie Harrington, the Blackbirds fell to the Blue Hawks.

Megan Goodwin added two assists for Keene while Bella Venezia and Trinity Williamson combined for 10 saves.

Pelham 1, Milford 0 (Tuesday)

The Pythons scored on a penalty corner with no time left to beat the Spartans. Heather Whittier made 16 saves for Milford.

Girls Volleyball

Hollis Brookline 3, Dover 0 (Tuesday)

The Cavaliers had a record-setting night, as they beat the Green Wave in three. Scores were 25-21, 25-18 and 25-15.

Cheyenne Colbert finished with 24 kills and 23 digs, setting the school record for kills in a three-set match; the previous record was 22, set by Megan Flaherty in 2006. Kate Berrigan also had seven kills and six blocks.

Sophie Jordan set a school record with 38 assists while adding four aces. The previous record was 37, set by Krystin Glover in 2010.

The win was also the 450th career victory for HB coach Becky Balfour.
