Around the Granite State: Campbell boys lacrosse gets win over Hopkinton (video)

LITCHFIELD - The Campbell High School boys lacrosse team scored twice in the fourth quarter and remain undefeated, getting a 4-2 win over Hopkinton on Friday.

Andrew Willinus had two goals to lead the Cougars (5-0 in Division III) while Ryan Guerrette made 11 saves. Nick Hershberger and Hunter Grant also scored a goal each in the win and Lucas Craig had an assist.

Shane Smith and Nick Martel had a goal apiece for the Hawks (3-2) while Colby Boissy made 16 saves.

Nashua South 8, Dover 6

The Panthers picked up their first win of the season at home against the Green Wave.

Beau Dubois scored five goals for South while Broden Landsteiner scored twice and Tyler Benzekri also had a goal. Cody Goode and Severen Johnson played well defensively and Jake Lynn made 15 saves.

Dom Chalifor made 17 saves for Dover while Micah Krick scored twice. Johnny Rand had a goal and an assist while Lukah Ready, Ben Tower and Tobey Desroches each scored.

Longmeadow (Mass.) 12, No. 3 Pinkerton 10

The Astros dropped their second game in a row, falling at home to the Lancers.

Joey Gallo had three goals and three assists for Pinkerton (4-2) while Michael Uber had three goals and an assist. Matt Feole and Matt Morrison each scored twice and Cole Frank had an assist and was 15 of 19 on faceoffs.

Tyler LeBlanc made eight saves.

Myles Chapman had three goals and two assists and Colin Brunette also had three goals for Longmeadow (3-3). Ben Mchugh had two goals and two assists and Brendan McGeer made 11 saves.

No. 2 Exeter 5, No. 3 Pinkerton 4

Nick Sullivan scored twice in the game's final 3:30 to get the Blue Hawks (5-0) the win on Thursday.

Sullivan finished with three goals while Owen Williams and Gabe Albert also scored. Ethan Bernich made 18 saves.

Matt Feole had a goal and an assist for the Astros while Ryan Lynch, Matt Morrison and Joey Gallo had a goal apiece. Curtis Michaud made nine saves and Cole Frank was 11 of 12 on faceoffs.

Merrimack 13, Concord 11

The Crimson Tide came back from a 7-3 halftime deficit, but couldn't get all the way back in a loss to the Tomahawks.

Joey Tarbell had four goals and two assists to lead Concord while Reece Reedenauer had three goals. Carter Doherty had a goal and three assists and Nate Doherty had a goal and a helper.

William Chorlian and Brayden Beauregard also had a goal apiece and Logan Shimer played well in goal.

ConVal 14, Spaulding 1

The Cougars picked up their first win of the year, getting four goals and an assist from Noah Lambert to beat the Red Raiders.

Noah Stewart had three goals and an assist and Seth Fowler scored twice and recorded two assists. Gabe Fret and Colin Pellettieri had a goal and an assist apiece while Ryan Close, Kelly McMahon and Max Erickson had a goal each.

Caden Robbins added an assist and Nick Squatrito made eight saves.

Oyster River-Newmarket 8, Alvirne 7

Alex Moody had four goals and an assist to lead the Bobcats to the win over the Broncos.

Tyler Callander added two goals and Cole Levesque had two assists and was 5 of 9 on faceoffs. Sam Guilmette recorded a goal while going 6 of 10 on faceoffs and Jadyn Smith also had a goal.

Jon Buteau, Travis Faul and Talon Beyer each added an assist while Aidan Golding and Kavi Weber played well defensively.

Alvirne got four goals from Jonavan Santana while Preston Ball, Cole Bucknam and Joey Ribeck added a goal apiece. Ayden Kelly played well in goal behind solid defense from Sam Fortin.

Salem 10, Nashua North 7

The Titans came up short against the Blue Devils, despite getting five goals from Jack Peters.

Brody Sutton added a goal while Jace Colon made 15 saves.

Pembroke 8, Milford 5

Kaleb Francouer scored twice, but it wasn't enough as Milford fell on the road on Thursday.

Chuck Urda had a goal and three assists while Cam Stickney and Harris Jones added a goal each. James Brew made 11 saves for the Spartans.

Girls Lacrosse

No. 1 Portsmouth 21, No. 4 Souhegan 9

The Sabers fell to 1-2 on the year following a home loss to the Clippers.

Lyla Kimball had two goals and four draw controls and Natalie Heimarck scored three goals and had two draw controls to lead Souhegan. Abby Giannetti added a pair of scores and Emma Kennedy had a goal and an assist and three draw controls.

Riley Devine also had a goal and an assist.

Dover 13, No. 6 Nashua South 10

The Panthers dropped their first game of the season on the road to the Green Wave.

Morgan Udzanovich led South (4-1) with four goals and Karina O'Donnell added two goals, an assist and seven draw controls. Ella Benzekri also had seven draw controls to go with a goal.

Maren Lowell scored twice and Maddy Matylewski recorded a goal. Anna Pasquale had an assist and Keira Walsh made four saves.

Inter-Lakes/Moultonborough 14, Derryfield 13 (3OTs)

The Cougars (3-2) lost their second in a row, this time on the road against the Lakers.

Lilly Handwerk led Derryfield with three goals, two assists and four draw controls while Christine Nadeau also scored three times, had five groundballs and three draw controls. Alex Benson added two goals and two assists and Teagan Peabody had two goals and a draw control.

Chloe Bremberg had two goals and Courtney Wold also scored while Mia Chen had an assist. Lily Kfoury made 15 saves in goal for the Cougars.

No. 5 Pinkerton 19, No. 10 Exeter 5

Bella Pinardi had four goals and four assists for the Astros in their win over the Blue Hawks.

Hannah Lisauskas added three goals and four assists and Hailey Schnider recorded four goals and a helper. Anna Perkins scored twice and dished out three assists while Ashlyn Ledoux also had two goals.

Piper Knowlton, Frannie Doyle, Lilly Jeans and Elise Collins chipped in a goal apiece for Pinkerton (2-2) while Sara DiClemente had four saves.

The Blue Hawks (3-3) got three goals from Hailey O'Kane while Karli Scherpf and Gracie Pizon added a goal apiece. Phoebe Christenson recorded an assist and Grace Martin made 10 saves.

No. 8 Hollis Brookline 16, Manchester Central 4

Alyssa Hill had four goals and three assists to help lead the Cavaliers to the win over the Little Green on Thursday.

Sabrina Hill scored five times and Juliette Ogren recorded four goals and an assist. Paige Mello chipped in with three goals and a helper while Cailean Roy had a goal, two assists and three draw controls.

Daniella Allanach had three draw controls and two caused turnovers while Addy Dougherty made three saves.
