Around the Granite State: Barrett scores lone goal in Souhegan field hockey win
Ella Barrett scored the only goal the Souhegan High School field hockey team would need Friday in a 1-0 win over Kingswood.
Miya Chorney added an assist and Annie Raduazzo made three saves for the Sabers, who moved to 3-1 in Division II.
Goffstown 2, Oyster River 1
The Grizzlies scored twice in the fourth quarter to pull out the win over the Bobcats.
Makayla Strickulis scored the game-winner and had an assist while Maggie Jorzcak also scored and Kendall Dubois had an assist. The Grizzlies (2-2) had 12 penalty corners and got two saves combined from goalies Maddie Brown and Molly Braica.
Elli Donova had the goal for Oyster River (3-1) and Brooke Edmond made 10 saves.
Girls Volleyball
Hollis Brookline 3, Nashua South 1
The Cavaliers got the win by scores of 25-17, 25-14, 20-25 and 25-21.
Lydia Daskalos had nine aces for HB (3-0) and Cheyenne Colbert had 18 kills. Maia Schneider added 10 digs and Lily Roberge had four blocks.
Epping 3, Farmington 1
The Blue Devils picked up a win with scores of 25-9, 25-20, 22-25 and 25-16.
Kate Champman had three aces, seven kills, two assists, four digs and one block for Epping (2-1). Gracie Re had three aces, eight kills and 12 digs while Pacy Morgado added two aces, four kills, nine digs and 14 assists.
