# Around the Granite State: Hollis Brookline field hockey gets win over Merrimack Valley

Addyson Olszewski scored the game's only goal Friday to give the Hollis Brookline High School field hockey team a 1-0 win over Merrimack Valley.

Olszewski off a penalty corner, with Molly Wertheimer recording an assist on the goal for the Cavaliers (3-3-1). Maddie Barich made two saves to help HB get its second shutout of the season. 

**No. 9 Hanover 7, Kingswood 1**

The Bears scored five goals in the first quarter and cruised to the win at home over the Knights.

Sophia Mancini scored five goals for Hanover (5-1-1, No. 9 in the New Hampshire Orthpaedic Center/NHHSSports Coaches Poll) while Anya Nyhan and Anna Farrell added a goal apiece in the win. 

**St. Thomas 1, Plymouth 0**

The Saints scored the game's only goal in the third quarter to hand the Bobcats their first loss of the year. 

**No. 7 Dover 1, Portsmouth 0**

Rylan Howard scored for the Green Wave to get them past the Clippers.

Scarlett Gray played well in goal to earn the shutout and Ainsley Kessler also had a solid game. 

**No. 2 Winnacunnet 3, No. 8 Bedford 1**

The Warriors picked up the win over the Bulldogs on the road.

Megan Kelly, Fiona McAfee and McKinley Fowler had a goal apiece for Winnacunnet (7-0) in the win. 

**No. 1 Pinkerton 8, Exeter 2**

Cayden Madeiros scored twice to lead the Astros to a road win over the Blue Hawks. 

Gwen Lee had a goal and two assists and Meaghan Shea added a goal and an assist for Pinkerton (6-0-1). Brynn McKenna, Lauren Sherry, Lauren Kingsley and Jordan Schreiber also had a goal apiece. 

Molly Kuncki made seven saves and Violet Lloyd had two saves in the win. 

Exeter (4-3) got a goal each from Olivia Amarosa and freshman Molly Ahern, who scored her first varsity goal.
