Around the Granite State: Tuesday's Roundup

The Goffstown High School boys lacrosse team stopped a five-game losing skid with a 12-6 win Tuesday over Pembroke.

The Grizzlies got out to a 6-3 lead at halftime and outscored the Spartans 5-0 in the fourth quarter to get the win.

Peyton Bickford led Goffstown (2-6) with three goals and two assists and was 18 of 19 on faceoffs. Nick Mason also had three goals and Griffin Cook added two scores while Eric Dubois and Devin Young had a goal and an assist apiece.

Ben O'Brien also scored for the Grizzlies while Finn Grant made six saves.

Glenn Dion led Pembroke (4-3) with four goals.

Merrimack Valley 10, John Stark 6

The Pride took advantage of a two-minute locked-in penalty on the Generals, scoring three goals, to pull away for the win.

Parker McQuarrie and Kayden Easter each had two goals and an assist for John Stark (3-5) while Drew McQuarrie added two goals.
