Around the Granite State: Thursday's Roundup

The Bedford High School girls lacrosse team used a 6-1 run late in the second half to pull away from Londonderry for a 16-9 win Thursday in Division I action.

The Bulldogs turned an 8-6 lead into a 14-7 advantage in a little more than seven minutes and picked up their second win against the Lancers this season to improve to 12-0 on the year.

Hannah McCarthy led the way for Bedford, scoring six goals and adding an assist, while Sydney Lynch (two assists) and Kennedy Boyle added four goals apiece. Mackenzie MacEachern and Courtney Dermody also had a goal and an assist each while Emily Burton made six saves.

Londonderry (7-4) got three goals from Emily Holland and two more from Sarah Duarte. Meghan Jackes, Shannon Fraser, Kiersten Hoglund and Hannah Hagearty added a goal apiece and Kaitlyn Marchant came up with six saves.

Boys Lacrosse

Nashua South 12, Salem 8

Devin Linscott scored three goals and had two assists to lead the Panthers to a win over the Blue Devils.

Brett Shaughnessy also had three goals for South (4-6) while Shane Puleo had two goals and three assists and Joe Bodi added two goals.

Zac Clancy chipped in with one goals and two assists and Sean Holland had a goal and an assist. Nate Radin made 10 saves.

Londonderry 7, Souhegan 4

Alex Burnley had a big game in goal, making 17 saves for the Sabers, but it wasn't enough against the Lancers.

Tyler Hall and Thomas Horner each had two goals to lead Souhegan (6-3).

Milford 14, Stevens 6

The Spartans snapped a three-game skid with a big road win over the Cardinals.

Owen Clary led the way for Milford (4-4) with five goals and Cam O'Shaughnessy had three goals and an assist. Owen Hutchinson also scored two goals and Matt Hannon and Corben Sroka had a goal and a helper apiece.

Josh Bachilas chipped in with a goal while Mikey Federico played well defensively and had five groundballs, as did Josh Shaw. Tim Gagnon made 11 saves and Kyle Forsley had three stops.

Hollis Brookline 14, Manchester Memorial 0 

Garrett Moloney recorded his first career shutout for the Cavaliers, as they won their fourth game in a row. Will Crosby led the offense with five goals as HB improved to 7-3.

Bishop Guertin 16, Exeter 8

Brian Cameron had four goals and four assists to lead the Cardinals to an early lead and they held on to beat the Blue Hawks.

John Bruno, Drew Hailey and Brennan McInnis each had two goals and an assist while Jordan Caito scored two goals for Bishop Guertin (10-1). Sean Cameron and Sam Prunier added a goal and two assists apiece while

Michael O'Reilly and Cam Fagan also scored and Anthony Priest had an assist while Colin Casey made nine saves.
