Around the Granite State: Friday's Roundup

The Hollis Brookline High School boys volleyball team won its sixth in a row Friday, sweeping Londonderry 3-0. Game scores were 25-14, 25-16 and 25-19.

Nick Wood led the Cavaliers (8-2) with 13 kills and two blocks and Scott Van Coughnett had 27 assists and 12 digs. Jonathan Brackett added four aces and Vivek Nithipalan had 10 digs.

Boys Lacrosse

St. Thomas 8, Bow 7 (2OTs)

Jojo Grella scored in the second overtime to life the Saints to a comeback win over the Falcons.

Down 5-2 at halftime, St. Thomas rallied and tied the game with three second left in regulation on a goal by Andrew Geppert. Grella, who also had an assist, then got the game winner after both teams had opportunities to win it.

Sean Kelly also had two goals for the Saints (6-3) while Aidan Crisp had a goal and three assists. Tucker Whitcomb, Brendan Tersolo and Patrick Vetter also added a goal apiece and Tim Bouchard had an assist. Peter Schults played well in goal, including three saves in overtime.

Bow (4-4) got four goals and an assist from Brendan Ulrich while Jared Reynolds had two goals.

John Stark 13, Kennett 5

The Generals got three goals from three different players as they rolled past the Eagles.

Parker McQuarrie led the way with three goals and three assists while Noah Bellemore and Jett Wight had three goals and two assists apiece. Drew McQuarrie added three assists and Jameson Bourque made 13 saves.
