Alvirne's Carbone nearly perfect in win over BG

Carbone retired the first 15 batters she faced, but gave up a hit in the bottom of the sixth inning. She finished with a one-hit shutout - her second shutout of the week - while striking out nine, and also had three hits and two runs scored for the Broncos (10-2).
Mikayla Powlowsky and Chelsea Drew also had two hits each for Alvirne.
The Cardinals' lone hit came off the bat of Kenzie McCabe.
