# Alvirne finishes season with win over Dover

The Alvirne High School baseball team scratched out a 2-1 win over Dover Monday in its final game of the regular season.

The Broncos scored the winning run [on a double steal](http://www.fosters.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20110524/GJSPORTS%5F01/705249898/-1/rss10&source=RSS&utm%5Fsource=twitterfeed&utm%5Fmedium=twitter), and freshman Robbie Flohr pitched six innings, allowing one run on three hits and four strikeouts.

Zach Keller doubled and scored a run while David Webster walked and scored the winning run when the Green Wave's throw home sailed wide.

Despite the win, Alvirne (5-13) could be miss out on the Division I playoffs. The Broncos are currently 17th in the standings, two games in the loss column behind Trinity and Manchester Memorial. But Alvirne lost head-to-head against Memorial and Trinity would finish ahead of the Broncos based on the points index.
