The season didn't start off all that well for the Nashua High School South girls soccer team. The Panthers opened the year with back-to-back one-goal losses to Keene and Concord, respectively, games that in retrospect, South would probably like to be able to do over again.

NASHUA – It took a half for the Bishop Guertin High School football team to find its offense Saturday night against Merrimack. Once the Cardinals did, look out.

HOLLIS – No matter how many points the Hollis/Brookline High School football team scored, Milt Robinson couldn’t get comfortable. Not when he was looking across the field at Mike Beliveau on the Souhegan sideline.

PLAISTOW – One team fumbled the ball 11 times. The other couldn’t pick up a first down on its final six possessions of the game.

This week of high school football brings us two Nashua-Manchester matchups, a Division I game between two undefeated teams, and a big Division III game between Souhegan and Hollis/Brookline on Saturday.
