The Souhegan Pirates rallied twice to beat Monadnock 12-11 in Senior Babe Ruth action on Wednesday. The Pirates fell behind 6-0, but a three-run second and a five-run fourth gave Souhegan an 8-6 lead. After compiling the best record in Class L, the Nashua High School North baseball team had five players receive All-State baseball honors. The Titans had three players named to the Class L first-team to lead 29 local players who were recognized with All-State honors.

The semifinals of the NHIAA boys state singles tournament is full of Bulldogs. Bedford High School teammates Mark HoSang and Myles Utell advanced to the final four on Tuesday, and if both were to win their semifinal matches on Thursday, they'd face each other for the state title.

The Souhegan Pirates opened Senior Babe Ruth play by splitting their first two games in Southern League action. The Pirates knocked off the Nashua Chiefs at home 7-4 and fell to the Hollis/Brookline Dodgers 10-3.
