Sabers fall in first round

The Souhegan High School baseball team saw its season come to an early end after being upset by Merrimack Valley in the first round of the Class I playoffs.

The No. 5 Sabers (13-4) fell behind early and couldn’t come back against the No. 12 Pride.

Matt Schagrin had a solo home run for Souhegan. In the seventh inning, Alex Lyon singled and stole second before scoring on a single by Chris Chininis.
