A five-run fourth inning by the Nashua Marauders helped break open a close game, as Nashua defeated the Souhegan Pirates 11-5 in Senior Babe Ruth action on Wednesday.
DJ Petropulos went 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBIs and Paul Becotte was also 3-for-4 with a double while Matt Schagrin went 2-for-4 with a double.
Zack Polio took the loss, while Bobby Graham and Billy White both pitched in relief.
The Pirates also fell to Monadnock, 13-5, on Thursday to fall to 7-5 in the Southern Division. James Astbury pitched 3 1/3 innings in relief, allowing no runs and striking out six.
Becotte went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and two steals while Kyle Beaulieu was also 2-for-3 with two runs scored and a RBI.
