The NHIAA announced the matchups for the high school girls lacrosse playoffs, which start on Wednesday.
Six local teams will participate in the the three divisions, including Hollis/Brookline, which is the top seed in Division III.
Division I
Souhegan is the top local seed in the division, earning the No. 5 spot after finishing 9-5 in the division. The Sabers will take on No. 4 Exeter (9-4) in the quarterfinals on the road at 5 p.m. on Wednesday. The teams split two games during the regular season, with the Blue Hawks winning in Amherst on April 12, 8-7, and the Sabers winning at Exeter on May 7, 10-9.
The winner will take on either No. 1 Londonderry (14-0) or No. 8 Nashua North (4-9). The Lancers and Titans will meet at 5 p.m. on Wednesday. Londonderry won the only meeting between the teams this season, winning 16-1 on May 4.
Nashua South (7-6) is the No. 6 seed and will take on No. 3 Concord (11-4), also Wednesday at 5 p.m. The Crimson Tide won the lone meeting between the teams 18-5 on May 18. The winner will face either No. 2 Pinkerton (10-3) or No. 7 Manchester Central (6-10).
The semifinals are scheduled for June 5 at Southern New Hampshire University.
Division II
Bishop Guertin (11-2) earned the No. 3 seed in the tournament and will host No. 6 St. Thomas Aquinas (9-4) at 4 p.m. in a quarterfinal matchup on Wednesday at Stellos Stadium. The teams played back on April 21, with the Cardinals taking a 15-6 victory.
The winner gets either No. 2 Bow (12-2) or No. 7 Merrimack (8-6) in the semifinals. The Falcons and Tomahawks will play at 5 p.m. on Wednesday at Bow. The Falcons won the only regular-season meeting between the two, 15-9 on May 5.
On the other side of the bracket, No. 1 Winnacunnet (13-0) hosts No. 8 Con-Val (9-7) while No. 5 Lebanon (10-4) takes on No. 4 Portsmouth (11-2).
The semifinals are scheduled for June 5 at Southern New Hampshire University.
Division III
Hollis/Brookline (12-0), the top seed in the tournament, will try for a second-straight title on Wednesday at 5 p.m. in Hollis against No. 8 Plymouth (6-6). The teams met once during the regular season, on April 26, and the Cavaliers won, 14-2.
The winner will take on either No. 4 Oyster River (10-4) or No. 5 Pelham (8-4) in the semifinals.
On the other side of the bracket, No. 2 Kearsarge (11-3) will host No. 7 Kingswood (7-7), while No. 3 Derryfield (10-4) will take on No. 6 John Stark (8-5).
The semifinals are scheduled for June 6 at Southern New Hampshire University.
