The Bishop Guertin High School boys football team will begin its quest for a third straight Division II championship on Wednesday, along with the other 56 high school football programs in the state.
Aug. 11 is the first day football teams can practice, with the first games of the season scheduled for Sept. 3.

- Alvirne: Freshman tryouts will run from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 11, while all other classes will practice from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. and from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m.
- Bedford: The first session will run from 8 to 10 a.m. on Aug. 11 at the stadium, with a second session from 5 to 7:30 p.m.
- Bishop Guertin: Varsity, junior varsity and freshmen will practice from 8 to 10:30 a.m. and from 4 to 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 11.
- Hollis/Brookline: Conditioning for upperclassmen and any freshmen who want to try out for varsity or junior varsity will run from 8 to 9 a.m. Practice will go from 3:30 to 8 p.m., with a 25-minute break in the middle.
- Londonderry: All seniors, juniors and sophomores are to meet at 7:30 a.m. on Aug. 11 in room 221 of the high school.
- Merrimack: All practices will be at the MES field. Freshmen go from 4 to 7 p.m. while varsity and junior varsity practice from 7 to 11:30 a.m. and 3 to 7 p.m. on Aug. 11.
- Milford: First practice will run from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 11.
- Nashua North: Double sessions begin Aug. 11, with the first session going from 8 to 11 a.m. and the second from 2 to 5 p.m. Players should wear their helmets, Titans football T-shirt and shorts and bring cleats and sneakers.
- Nashua South: Practice for all teams begins Aug. 11, from 8 to 11 a.m. and 2 to 5 p.m.
- Pinkerton: Varsity and junior varsity practice from 7 to 10 a.m. and 1 to 3:30 p.m. on Aug. 11 at the Old Field House.
- Salem: There is a mandatory meeting at 7 a.m. on Aug. 11 in the Davis Gym, with practice following from 9 to 11:30 a.m. and 2:15 to 4:30 p.m.
- Souhegan: First practice will be on Aug. 11 from 6 to 8:30 p.m.
