Four different high school championship meets took place on Saturday – two wrestling tournaments along with gymnastics and the state’s first high school bowling competition.

In Division I wrestling, Timberlane Regional of Plaistow won its 11th consecutive wrestling title by recording a total of 314 points to finish ahead of second-place Winacunnet of Hampton, which had 181 points. The Owls won seven of the 14 individual championships.
Two local wrestlers, Bishop Guertin’s Corey Christie (152 pounds) and Merrimack’s Tyler Baulier (215), advanced to the finals in their respective weight classes, but couldn’t pull out a win. To read more about the Division I meet, go here.
In Division II, Con-Val recorded 188 points to win the first wrestling title in school history, edging out Goffstown (179 1/2) and Plymouth 174. Hollis/Brookline was the top local team, finishing fourth.
Milford’s Josh Kilgore was the only local champion, winning at 189 after taking the title at 171 a year ago. Teammate Joe Albina reach the final at 160 as a freshman, and H/B’s Bryan Jennings got to the final at 215. For more on the Division II meet, go here.
In gymnastics, Pinkerton took home the team title. Raymond’s Gilman Chamberlain was crowned the first high school bowling champion in New Hampshire.
